"Lily!" Lizzie shouts running into my room and I groan
"What?" I ask burrying my head in something
"ITS CHRISTMAS!" She shouts and I cringe
"Oh sorry Alex, didn't see you there" Lizzie says and my eyes snap open to see him lying next to me
"It's fine Lizzie" Alex says
"Come on lily! It's presents time!" She says
"No, I'll see what you've got after. I'm going back to sleep, what time is it?" I ask her
"4am!" She giggles
"No! Absolutely not, Lizzie go back to bed or go bother Leo" i say
"I already did and he told me to go to you" she says
"Go bother mum and dad then" I say
"I did, she said to go to Emma" she says
"And what did Emma say?" I ask
"Go bother leo" she says and I groan
"So it's a full circle really" she says
"Lily, wake me up in at least three hours" i say
"Fine" she grumbles before slamming the door shut and I groan
"Merry Christmas cranky" i say
"Merry Christmas points system" he says
"When did I fall asleep?" I ask
"When we were on the second high school musical, after the weird fish song" he says
"That 'weird fish song' is iconic" i say and he laughs
"You were actually singing along to the songs in your sleep" He says and i chuckle
"When did you fall asleep?" I ask
"I've not slept, this jet lag thing is really keeping me awake. I did watch the third high school musical though" he says
"And what do you think?" I ask
"They are alright" he says
"You love them don't you?" I ask
"More than I should, and why does everyone hate Sharpay, she's literally the best one in there. Gabriella is so annoying and breaks up with Troy every five seconds. And why does everyone hate Ryan when he's literally the most unproblematic person? It makes no logical sense!" He says
I just lie here looking up at him amused and he looks at me and he clears his throat and speaks deeply, "and obviously I should go do something manly right now like fix a car"
I chuckle and he laughs.
"I actually need to go down and see the horses, muck out their stables and feed them" i say
"How many horses do you have?" He asks
"Here?" I ask and he nods
"Fifteen but we have a bigger place where we keep them a few miles away where we have over fifty" i say
"Jesus Christ that's a lot of horses" he says and i nod
"When do you want me to help you with them?" He asks
"Oh you don't have to help me, I like doing it" i say
"You like picking up horse shit?" He asks
"No, what I like is the process. I'll put some music on and it's white satisfying when things are done" I say and he just shrugs
