"How was school?" Thea asks as I scoop some pasta onto my plate
"Boring" Lydia says
"Alright" Izzy says
"Thalia, Apollo, Lucas, Damon?" Thea asks
"Great! We coloured numbers!" Apollo says with a mouth full of food
"What about you lily?" Thea asks me
"I got asked to give a speech for this team they have in September" i say
"The one they are hosting this year?" Lydia asks and i nod
"Yeah, I got carried away talking about pollution in marine biology and my teacher asked me after class" I say
"Who's your teacher?" Izzy asks
"Mr Martin" I say
"Oh he's great! My favourite teacher!" Lydia says and i smile
"So when are you doing this speech? And what are you doing it about?" Luca asks me
"It's at the end of September and I think I'm going to do it on the lack of development in countries. I might compare them to different areas or something. I'm not sure yet. They have this meeting on Wednesday lunch so I'm going to talk to other people in the team and see what they are doing" i say and he nods
"It sounds right up your street, we'll make sure we're there" Luca says
"I wish my dad could come and watch, he's usually a big fan of this kind of thing" i say
"We'll just record it for him and send it to him" Thea says and i nod
"Thank you! That sounds great!" I say with a smile
"Anyway, I thought you two were going out tonight?" Lydia asks her parents
"We are, we have a meal booked at eight" Thea says and i nod
"Date night?" I ask
"Yes, he's taking me dancing" Thea says and i smile
"I hope you have a good time" i tell them
"I'm sure we will"

I put my joggers on and a sports bra on before I head downstairs to see Gracie, Lucy, Luke, Lydia , Olly, Daniel, Issac and Alex in the living room.
"Hey Ella" Lydia says
"Hey" i say walking into the living room and everyone looks at me
"Ella!" Thalia screams running into the living room and she cowers behind me
"What?" I ask laughing
"They have ganged up on me" she whispers
"What do you mean?" I ask and I hear three sets of loud footsteps running downstairs
"Oh shit" I say making Lydia laugh
"Right run into the kitchen I'll cover for you" i say
"What are you going to do?" She asks
"There's no time, go and hide in a cupboard" i say and she salutes me before rushing away
All of a sudden Apollo points a nerf gun at me, "where did she go lily?"
"How much does this information mean to you?" I ask them putting my hands on my hips
"A lot!" Damon whines
"I think we're going to have to do a deal here boys" Lucas says
"What do you want from us?" Apollo asks
"For you to stop eating all of the garlic bread at dinner" i say
"No!" He shouts making a few people laugh
"Name another price, but not my garlic bread" he hisses
"I think your forgetting here that I was once your age" i say
"Yeah twenty years ago" Damon says
"The cheek!" I say.
Im struggling here, desperate times call for desperate measures. I think I'm going to have to pull the indenity card, "do you know who I am?"
"Ah I forgot she can have us killed" Damon says
"We can have her killed as well!" Lucas adds on
"But will you try it?" I ask stepping forward
"No but grandma will!" Apollo says
"Alright lads let's go" i say, "battle of the grandmas, we can both play this game"
They all look at each other before laughing and i laugh too.
"Come on tell us where she is" Damon says
"Look boys fine, I'll tell you where she is" i say
"Where?" They says dropping their weapons
"In the garden, in the shed" i say and they all zoom away and I hear the back door shut
"Thalia, you can come out now" I shout to her
"Where am I going to hide?" She asks
"get in my bathroom and you'll be safe in there" i say and she laughs, "well if I need the toilet I'll be good"
I laugh, "just use my phone to text Izzy or something if you need any food or anything. You should be safe when your parents come home"
"Can't you do something?" She asks me
"I don't have any control over them but Izzy should" I say and I hear Izzy groan
"Why?" Izzy whines and Thalia laughs
"Just go before they come back" i say handing her my phone, "six, three, nine, one"
"Great! Now everyone knows your password" Lydia says
"I can change it" i say
"Oh yeah" Lydia says and i laugh
"Go" i say
"your the best!" She says before rushing away
"Why do they call you lily?" Issac asks
"It's my middle name" I lie easily
"Ella Lily Scott" Issac says
"Actually it's Lilian" Lydia says with a smirk and I glare at her
"So how are you doing baby?" Issac asks me and i sit down on the sofa next to Lydia who looks very uncomfortable sat next to her boyfriend.
"Are you okay?" I whisper and she nods
I look at Issac, "I'm fine baby how are you?"
He does a double take of me, "what?"
I laugh, "always fun to mess with peoples heads when they know they aren't getting something"
I hear Alex laugh and I smile.
"Lair!" I head Damon shouts and they rush into the living room
"Where is she?" Apollo asks
"Apollo, I don't know" i say
"Yes you do!" Lucas says
"That's it! It's battle of the grandmas! It's happening" Damon shouts and we all laugh
"Right boys we need a plan" Apollo says and they all gather in a circle in the living room.
Tiny chatters come from the circle mainly whisper shouting from Damon. I hear a sigh and they all turn around
"We give you the garlic bread" Lucas says and Damon sighs loudly
"Lily, a person called Ahamid is calling you" Thalia says and i jump up from my seat
"That's great!" I say happily and I take the phone off her.
"Get her!" Damon shouts and they chase her away.
