My Heart

You broke My Heart wide open,
Just to see inside,
To watch every fear and fault,
And broken dream collide.
You poked and prodded,
Your way through,
And pushed me here and there,
Just to see what you could see,
Because you didn't care.
You didn't care that I'd been broken,
Or was hanging by a thread.
You didn't know that I had died,
But was living into debt.
Living a life that I can't take back,
Because it's not my own,
You found your way into my heart,
And made the place your home.
And now the place is vacant,
4 walls, empty, bare,
Because you packed up all your things and left me standing there.
I wish that I could show you, how I feel inside,
But how can I show you this old heart
When every piece of me has died?
I tried my best to kick start it,
And get myself through the pain,
But every time My Heart would beat,
It would slowly call out your name.
Every incessant heart beat pound,
Against my hollow chest,
Felt like I was losing life,
And barely living..
At best.
