Hide-and-seek

So let's play this game,
Emotional hide-and-seek,
Let's see who's better,
Let's see who is weak.
I have wisdom in my years,
And you don't even know,
That even when I'm happy,
I still feel all alone.
That once I'm content,
With who I want to be,
This whole damn world,
Comes crashing into me.
And it's happened more than once,
Don't get me wrong,
If it wasn't for this world,
I wouldn't be as strong.
So it's not your fault you're losing,
Failing this test,
You could never be better,
You can't ever be the best.
I've got time on my side,
And you're naive,
Thinking I'm stupid for not wearing-
My heart on my sleeve.

It's not your fault that I will win,
And I'll do it with ease,
I've got years of practice,
With everyone to please.
And that's impossible,
Yet I've done it more than once,
Getting everyone,
Exactly what they want.
But the only one unhappy,
Is the most important of all,
And if I showed you my emotions,
You'd push me to watch my fall.
So I'll be strong,
And strong is what I'll be,
So let's keep playing,
Emotional hide-and-seek.
