I woke up to two loud knocks followed by a growl and a bang against metal. I jumped out of bed, flinging the blankets off and ran to the door. I yanked it open only to find Seth hovering over Oliver, one hand wrapped arround his throat.

"I was just trying to wake him up and look, it worked, he is up." Oliver stated, holding his hands out next to his head.

"And I told you to wait. I don't trust you one bit." Seth growled back.

"Ok Seth, calm down. He just knocked on the door, it's not like he barged in unannounced." I said.

"Who knows what he was planning to do." Seth answered.

"Well, whatever it was you stopped him. Good job. Now let him up." I tried again.

"He better listen to me next time." Seth released his grip on the man, who prombly got back on his feet.

"I'm sure he will." I reassured him.

"Sorry man, I know how traumatic it is to go through what you did over there and I understand why you are so defensive against us. I didn't trust anyone when I first got out of there, I thought they where all out to get me and would stab me in the back at any second if I let them get too close. I don't want anyone to go through that any more. It's gonna take some time, but we are not like them. We are good people and we are trying to help, hopefully you can come to see that sooner rather then later." Oliver apologized.

"You've been over there?" I blurted out.

"Yeah... I'll explain everything after breakfast. Your friends arrived early this morning and they've been placed in the rest of the rooms on this floor. It's up to you if you want to wake them up or let them sleep. I'll see you later." Oliver said before walking away.

Tyler emerged from his room just then. He looked to be still half asleep as he shut the door behind himslef.

"What's all the noise?" He asked.

"Nothing..." I started when Seth cut me off.

"You slept through all of that?" He asked.

"No, but you sounded like you had it handled so I took my time." Tyler replied.

Seth grined and flexed his arms, wagging his eyebrows. I rolled my eyes, walking away from them and towards the stairs.

"We should let them all sleep, they have been through a lot." I said over my shoulder.

I started down the stairs, the boys following a short disstance behind me. I swung arround the edge of the stairs on the ground floor and ran straight into a wall. I stumbled back, tripped and fell on my ass. I hissed at the pain that shot through my left wrist as I instinctively tried to catch myself.

"Hey cutie. That's one way to make new friends." A deep voice rumbled from above me.

I looked up to see a tall, well built man standing there. For some reason, the way he was looking down at me really creeped me out. Like he was about to dragg me into a dark cave somewhere and sacrifice me to the devil. I frowned at him, rubbing my sore wrist.

"Don't call me that and I have no desire to make new friends, especially not with you." I stated.

Anger flashed through his eyes. His hands and jaw clenching tight, making his muscles bulge. He opened his mouth to say something else, but two bodies suddenly stepped arround me, bloking me from him.

"You heard him, he doesn't want to be friends with you. Now fuck off." Seth growled.

"I see you have your own little body guards... They won't always be there to save your ass if you disrespect me like that again." The man glared before turning arround and stalking off into a nearby room.

"You ok?" Tyler asked, kneeling down next to me.

"Yeah... just sprained my wrist, but I'm fine." I answered.

Tyler helped me back to my feet. Seth was still glaring in the direction the man had gone, visibly pissed.

"I really don't like this place." Seth grumbled.

"Me neither, we should leave. We don't know these people." Tyler agreed.

"We can't leave. This is our best chance to escape the people chasing us. They will never stop hunting us unless we help these people distroy them. Plus, we have nowhere else to go." I explained.

"We could find a hidden place to build a house in a forest seomwhere or on an island. This is too risky, they could be working with those soldiers for all we know." Seth answered.

"Oliver promised he would explain everything that's going on, we owe it to him to at least hear him out for hidding us yesterday. And I'm not going to live the rest of my life in hidding." I retorted.

"Fine, but we are not leaving your side even for a second. I don't trust anyone else." Seth said, Tyler nodding along with him.

I smiled, massaging my wrist. Seth's eyes trailed down to it and his frown melted into a look of concern.

"Do you need a healer?" He asked.

"A healer?... you mean a doctor? Nah, I'm good, it's not that bad." I said.

"I'm still trying to get used to all this modern knowledge." He admited.

"Maybe I can kiss it better." Tyler whispered suggestively, taking a step towards me.

Heat ruched to my cheeks, and I hugged my hand to my chest. I turned away quickly.

"I'm starving. We should go get some food." I rushed out, before taking off towards the cafeteria.

I heard them chuckling behind me then follow my lead. True to their words, they where sticking to my sides like glue not leaving any space between us like they had been earlier.

We walked into the packed cafeteria, where all conversation died and everyone turned to stare at us as we walked in.
