Chapter 11: part 1

"Addy!" Someone shook me. I swatted at them and pulled my pillow over my head.

"Addy come on! You need to get up so we can get ready!" Tasha shook me more. I sighed and sat up. "Good. Now get into a shower and then we can choose our dresses. Your parents are throwing a ball to celebrate."

"Oh great. Well I guess I better go get ready then." I groaned as I got out of my warm bed, and trudged over to my bathroom.

I let the warm water rinse over my body as I thought about today. Tasha began banging on the door, yelling at me to hurry up. I stepped out into the cold air and wrapped my puffy green and pink bathrobe around me and went back out into my bedroom.

"Finally! Now we only have an hour to get ready! Come on!" She dragged me over to what I assumed was my closet. She opened the door and I gasped.

There were hundreds of ball gowns and other types of dresses hanging around the huge room. Farther in there was a couch, t.v., and a coffee table. Past that were makeup tables with two ladies standing next to them.

Tash grabbed my arm and dragged me over to the ladies.

"Hello Princess." One lady smiled at me.

"Hello." I sat down in one of the chairs.

"I'm sure you don't remember me but I've been your hair and makeup artist since you were born. My names Kelly." Memories of her brushing my hair like a mother should have done flashed through my mind. I remembered her doing my hair for prom and other important events. She did things my mother should have done. In a way she was like a mother to me.

"Oh my gosh! I do remember you!"

"You do?" Everyone asked at the same time.

"Yeah. The memories just came back."

"That's great! Now let's do your girls hair and makeup, then you can pick out your dresses."they started with our hair.

Kelly dried mine, then curled it into little ringlets that framed my face and cascaded down my back. Then she started with my makeup. She put light pink eyeshadow and blush, the used black eyeliner and mascara, making my chocolate brown eyes pop even more. Then she added some nude lipstick and was done.

"Alright! Choose your dress!" I got up and waited for Tasha so we could choose together.

Her usually curly hair was straightened and pulled back into a fishtail braid. Her bangs were left curly and she looked really good. She had light makeup but it suited her darker skin.

"Alright girly! Let's go pick!" We rushed over to the racks and started going through dresses.

"What about this?" I pulled out a simple blue gown.

"No you wore that to one of your parents charity balls a couple years ago." I put it back.

"What about this one? I pulled out a floor length peach ball gown that had a ruffled skirt all the way to the ground with silver beading at the top.

"Perfect!"she squealed then pulled out one for her. "What do you think?" It was a strapless red ball gown with silver beading at the top and waist and then starting at the hips was ruffled vertically.

"I love it!"

We went and slipped on the dresses, then had Kelly and Tasha's makeup artist, Stevie, lace up the backs for us. Matching shoes were found, then we went and added accessories.

"Oh look at this!" Tasha pressed a button and a cabinet popped open holding a beautiful diamond tiara.

"Oh wow! It's beautiful."

"And yours so put it on!" Kelly took it from the cabinet and carefully slipped it on my head. It was the perfect touch.

"Alright girls you have five minutes to get upstairs so go!" We rushed out of my closet which is way bigger than a normal closet, and quickly climbed the stairs, careful not to step on and tear out dresses.

"Oh good you're here." My mother came over to us.

"Tasha you're walking our with Liam, he is over there." She pointed to a handsome guy across the room talking to my brother. "And you're waking out with Brenden." She said to me. We walked over to them.

"Addy!" Liam smothered me in a hug.

"Liam stop! She doesn't remember you and you're going to ruin her dress!" Tasha scolded him like he was a child. He released me and went over to Tasha, wrapping an arm around her waist.

"Whatever you say." He smiled down at her and gave her a quick peck on the lips. I sighed wishing Mason was here.

"Alright everyone! Let's line up!" My mother called. Me and Brenden got in line second to last, with our parents behind us and Tasha and Liam two people in front of us. There were also a lot of other people I didn't know.

The doors opened into a huge ballroom crowded with people of all ages ranging from 5-500. A man announced everyone as they entered.

"Future Beta and his mate, Liam Carrlson and Tasha Greene!" The crowd clapped as they entered, smiling and waving.

"Beta and his wife, Jack and Marissa Carrlson!" The people in front of us who must have been Liam's parents walked in.

Brenden linked arms with me. "Ready?"

"I hope so."
