But what the museum is the most famous for is the mummy of the Pharaoh Ahkmanrah.
In the year 2006 the museum of New York is proud to present their new Egyptian exhibit.
Discovered in 1930 by young archaeologist Damien Jean, the pharaoh has been carefully preserved in museums round the world.
Now on loan from the uk, the mummy of Ahkmanrah has come to New York.
The mysteries of the pharaoh's tomb is on display for you to see.
