Chapter 12: Remember me!

Loki's PoV:
As Hoppo and Jesse opened the door, the small Jack Russel ran into the tower.I shook my head,chuckling, as I trotted in before the door shut.I shook my pelt,grunting.I saw Angel in the arms of a teenage girl.They both looked like they belonged to each other.I jumped a little when Jesse patted my head as he smiled a little.Next thing I knew, the Jack Russel was on the ground,standing next to me and the teenager looked down at me.She had a tint of fear and panic in her scent.Jesse said something to her before she put a hand out in front of my face.I glanced up at the lifeguard before sniffing her hand then pressing my snout into her palm.She giggled as she softly patted me, in between my ears.My left hind leg began 'scratching' the air as she scratched the spot at the base of my ear.I heard chuckles from around the small,one floor building but I didn't care as I was getting petted.I closed my eyes for seconds at a time. I was immediately taken out of my trance as I wasn't being petted anymore. Angel was back in the teenager's arms as the girl muttered her thank yous and goodbyes. I sat down as my tail flicked.
