New Years

Maxine was looking around her and Nico's nest for her cherry blossom flower that Nico had given her that one time they had sang 'Fly Love' for Jewel and Blu.

Maxine just sighed and flew out of the nest to go meet up with Pedro but when she flew out she bumped into another bird. Specifically Nico. "What are you doing?"

Instead of answering Nico reached up and Maxine felt something being tucked into her feathers. Maxine gave him a look. "Did you have it the whole time?"

Nico chuckled nervously. "Yeah."

Maxine smirked and rolled her eyes playfully.

Pedro flew up. "Let's go lovebirds. We have a party to get to!"

Maxine and Nico flew after their friend.

At the New Years party with the birds Maxine was singing along with Nico.

Maxine: What is love if it's not with you

I know when you're alone you feel it too

I wake up every morning thinking about the way you feel. 

While singing Maxine and Nico were dancing.

Maxine: Oh, I wonder if you know it. 

And what good is the party, if you're not around? 

But listen to me now.

Nico: Am I your baby love?

Maxine: If it's not your love?

Nico: Is it a crazy love?

Maxine and Nico move the spotlight so it hits Pedro who start rapping.

Pedro: This is a crazy party, 

I'm so glad I'm here with everybody, 

Baby, move your body. 

Shake it to the ground. 

Break it-break it-break it down, Blu.

He points to the blue macaw who was dancing with Jewel.

Me?...What's a song if you can't hear it too?

Pedro squawks.

Jewel: Can't imagine dancing without you. 

Blu: A shooting star ain't really nothing to see.

Jewel: If you're not right here standing next to me.

Maxine: Oh, listen to me, darling. 

Maxine did a free fall and Nico caught her and spun her around.

Maxine: I wake up every morning thinking about the way you feel. 

Oh, I wonder if you know it. 

What good is the party, if you're not around? 

Nico spun her around then dipped her.

Maxine: Listen to me now.

Maxine, Nico, and Pedro were all waiting along with the other birds for New Years.

"Five, four, three, two, one! Happy New Year!"

Everyone cheered as the fireworks went off. Maxine laughed as Nico spun her around but stopped when they noticed Blu was attached to the fireworks.

"Was that Blu?" Pedro asked.

Maxine nodded. "Yep."

They all shrugged it off and went back to what they were doing.

Nico dipped Maxine and kissed her. Maxine took of Nico hat and covered their faces.

"Happy New Years Nico."

"happy New Years babygirl."
