Apologies

This is not an update. I apologize, really I do. I feel like a recalcitrant student whose been caught making excuses when failing to bring the required homework. I realize that I'm a week overdue for my update, but I do have a valid reason. It all centers around a very big wind storm that left me out of power in my home for nearly 6 days. Luckily it wasn't hot outside and I wasn't dying without air conditioning. Though there was a lot of food going to waste in my not at all cold refrigerator and I kept having to eat takeout because we couldn't cook on our electric stove. The BBQ in the back was in use though, so it wasn't every meal for a week. Anyway, with no electricity, you can imagine that I took my computer to the library and tried to get work done only to find the library isn't open all day. Thank you COVID-19. I wasn't even able to keep my classwork and work work done, so I'm afraid that writing the next chapter of my story has not been a priority. I spent the next few days working to finish everything that had fallen behind in those two areas and reminded myself to help my friend, who has been waiting for me to help her for over a month and I have been too busy but she was running out of time. So I finished that too and am now hoping that I can get back to my story and not leave anyone waiting.

I am aware that this all smells horribly of worthless excuses, but it can't be helped. I did what I needed to do first and I'm sorry, but that definitely meant this story had to suffer a short hold. I will do my absolute best to prepare the story and get the next chapter out to you by Saturday. Thank you for your patience and I hope you'll forgive me and continue to read my story. Love!
