We just sat there looking into each other's eyes and smiling .

" I almost died today Keaton . " he whispered

" Shh." I said putting my finger on his lips

" I beat 2 people with a bat today ." He whispered

I busted up laughing and said ;

" Why ? "

" They said bad things about you and I wasn't gonna let that fly . " he laughed

" Alright Mr Mahone how are you feeling ? " the doctor asked

I stood up and he grabbed my hand.

" Where are you going ? " he asked

" Back to my room . " I said

He frowned and let go .

Sam followed me to my room and said ;

" Do you think your gonna get back together ? "

" I don't know . I wanna see if he's really the one . You know ? " I asked

" So your gonna try someone new ? " she asked

" Yeah . If I can . " I said

" What do you mean if you can ? " she asked

" I'm almost positive it's around the school I tried to kill myself . " I said

" Yeah but it's also around the school that if anyone bullies you or tries to hurt you that you have Austin and Blayke to beat some ass . " she said

" BREE BLAYKE ! " I yelled

" What about them ? " Sam asked

" Tell them to come here ! I want to see them ! " I said

She called them and told them to come to the hospital and I sat down in my bed .

" Guess who's out and ready to party." Austin said walking in

" Your a dork . " I laughed

" I know . " he said smiling

" Can I talk to you alone . " he asked

Everyone walked out and he closed the door .

" Keaton .." He said

" Austin . " I said

" Keaton . I love you . I know your the one for me . I regret ever hurting you . It was the worst thing I've ever done. I hated myself every second after that. I want you to give me a second chance . " he said

" Austin. Please understand when I say this . " I said

He nodded and I continued ;

" I love what we had . And I love you. But I want to see other people. Just to try it . " I said

" Oh.. Okay.." He said looking down

" Austin come here . " I said

He slowly walked to me and I hugged him .

" Austin . I just want you to know that your my best friend. I have developed feelings for my best friends . But I want to make sure your the only guy I have feelings for . " I said

" But what if I'm not. " he said trying to hold back his tears

" But what if you are . " I said putting my forehead against his .

" But what if I'm not . " he whispered

Tears filled my eyes and I closed them so he wouldn't see .
