When I awake, you'll disappear

Back to the darkness with all I hold dear

I awake nice and early, around 5:45. Since school's out, Father lets Ethan sleep in until six. On school mornings, Ethan would be awoken at about 5:30 in order to get driven to school before 7:00 when it starts.

Me on the other hand, I would sleep in until about 6:30, get dressed, eat, and let the horses out, then getting in my car to get to classes at 7:50.

Today was different though

My dream was about Angel, Callie, and I galloping through the mountain range together. I was confused on how I could keep up with the two speedy horses, but when I looked down I realized I was a horse.

I was in Heaven.

The dream ended by Angel and Calypso pulling off to a plateau, and stopping to graze and drink from a stream. On my way to the stream, I got stuck in weeds and panicked, thrashing my body around, just making it worse. I stopped and just sat there, short of breath. Callie lifted her head and slowly walked over to me, whispering "It will be okay."

My reccurring dreams about "It will be okay" have been making me go kind of crazy. It's spoken by a voice I don't recognize, but it feels so familiar and warm.

I sit up in my bed and yawn, pushing my gold curls out of my face. Throwing my hair into a bun, I get up and walk to my door, sticking my head out. Surprisinly, there aren't any lights on, and Roxy lies awake next to Ethan's door.

I throw on some jeans, a purple flannel, and my boots and happily run down stairs, Roxy following close behind. I open the front door and...

...and Angel is lying on the porch wide awake.

What?

I kneel down next to her and stroke her mane and she looks up at me, grateful for the attention. I stand, pulling her up next to me with her halter. Even Roxy looks confused. I put Angel back into her open stall, making sure to lock it. I walk into the feed room, measuring out Buster and Ms. Margret's food into little bins. I also figure out the right measurements for Angel. I grab Buster's small bin and dump it into his feed trough, turning on my heel to get Ms. Margret's food. I turn out of the feed room and run into a white, fuzzy body mass.

What is going on? Can Angel open her stall? I groan and bring Angel back into her stall, thinking of what I need to buy to make a better lock.

Sorry for the short uploads, I'm not even sure if you guys are reading the book or not. :/ I'll probably discontinue the book if I don't get more reads, and that makes me sad because I have great ideas for this book :(

If you guys are reading it, please leave a comment! It would mean a lot! Thanks!
