Matteo Giovanni POV:

I watch as Mia walks from the room, her head held down, as if she is trying to shrink until she is nonexistent. She isn't dressed fancy tonight, not as fancy as last night, yet she still looks as beautiful as ever dressed in a pair of jeans and singlet top. I wonder why she came here in the first place. I know it's not to drink, she had so much last night, I doubt she could stomach much more tonight.

This girl is driving me crazy and she doesn't even know it. She walks around the city blissfully unaware that I own her. That she is mine. And every second she is in public for any man to see, I want to pull her into my grasp and shoot any man who dares look at what's mine.

Yet despite wanting her, to give her everything she desires, I'm also angered at how she just acted. She needs to learn how to treat me, i will not tolerate disrespect, especially when i finally have her.

I clench my fist in anger. I don't know how much longer I can tolerate her roaming free. I need her, I need her now.

Pulling out my phone, I text Dante.

It's happening tonight.

Matteo, r u sure about this? There's no going back.
She may hate u if u do this

Do not question me.

Yes boss.

A feeling of relief washes over my body. Tonight I will finally have her in my grasp. And tomorrow, i will finally wake up to her beautiful face.

Be ready Mia, I'm coming for you.

Mia Jones POV:

I storm out of the room, anger coursing through my body like a wildfire. This man is terrible. Does he think he owns me or something? Because if he does, he has another thing coming. If i see that man ever again, i may just be charged for murder.

Making my way down the hallway, I feel pure tears of rage slipping down my face. What is coming over me? I am pathetic.

I quickly enter the club once again, the scent of alcohol staining the air. I used to love it, to love just being so carefree, and now the memory is tinted because of this man, how dare he come into my life and just stomp all over it like he has.

It's been two days since I met him? And already the whole world thinks i'm his sex toy! Hell, it seems he even thinks that too!

And I was attracted to him!

I make my way to the bar, my eyes scanning for Alice. I find her flirting with one of her customers, as she twirls some of her loose strands of hair around her finger.

Making my way to her, I slump on the counter and give the guy a glare, letting him know he needs to leave. He frowns and writes down his number on a napkin handing it to Alice. "Hey, I had something going there." Alice whines as she watches the made fade back into the crowd.

"We need to go." I say. Looking at me, she finally notices the tears staining my cheeks, and grabs my hand.

"Oh honey, let me see if David can cover for me." She hurries off to the back of the bar out of sight.

I stand awkwardly, hoping that Matteo isn't planning on finding me again.

Thankfully, Alice comes back quickly. "Let's go back to mine." She says as she comes round from around the corner of the bar, wrapping her arms around me. I melt into her embrace as she guides me to the back, staff exit.

"I'll make up some hot chocolates and we can watch some game of thrones. How does that sound?" She asks.

I nod into her shoulder. "That sounds good."

Entering the cold night, we walk through the empty car park towards Alice's little red car parked in the furthest spot from the club. Ushering me inside, she turns on the heating, and she starts the car.

I stare out the window, my mind elsewhere entirely, when I notice in the dark at the other side of the car park are multiple dark figures standing, watching us. A shiver runs down my spine, and I'm grateful for when Alice gets onto the main road towards her house.

We arrive in fifteen minutes outside her little town house wedged between two large apartment blocks. The outside has a small garden where she grows all her beautiful flowers. Alice loves to garden, it's one of the little quirks I love about her.

We both get inside, and make our way towards the couch beside the entrance. Alice heads upstairs grabbing pyjamas, and comes back downstairs, chuckling some at me. "Get changed." She orders with a warm smile on her face.

Once we're both dressed and our hot chocolates are ready, we sit down and begin our game of thrones marathon.

"Do you want me to ask what happened?" Alice asks, with the show blaring in the background. I take a sip from my hot chocolate, letting the heat of the drink, thaw away all my worries and problems.

"Not really." I say. Alice nods, and we snuggle into one another until we both eventually drift off to sleep with the television still playing in the background.

***

It's the sound of a door creaking that wakes me from my slumber. I blink away the blurriness from my eyes and survey the room. The TV still plays, the only source of light illuminating the large lounge room. However, the volume is now on mute, and I notice that Alice had moved onto the remote while asleep, clicking the mute button by accident.

She looks so peaceful and calm. I'd hate to wake her because I thought I heard a door creaking open.

I stumble from the couch, gaining my composure, heading towards the kitchen where I thought I heard the noise coming from. It sounded like it had been the back door.

I tiptoe, careful to be extremely quiet.

When I reach the back door, I stare in horror as I see the door wide open, letting in the chilly night air. Oh gosh.

I stumble backwards, this is something I should tell Alice about.

But before I can get any closer to Alice, I go back to something.

I've done this many-a-times, to know that it is not a wall I just hit, but a person.

I open my mouth to scream, but instantly something is clamped down over my mouth. "Shhhhh, you don't want to wake up your friend, do you?" A voice whispers into my ears, making my whole body shake in response.

I struggle frantically in their grip to break free, but fail miserably.

In my attempt at breaking free, the man turns my head towards Alice, where I see a man holding a gun to her head as she still sleeps. "Be quiet now, or your pretty little friend will pay the price."

I gulp down all the noises that want to erupt from my throat, and stop moving, relaxing into the person's grip. "That's a good girl." The man coos, and I watch in horror as he raises a syringe to my neck. "Now count to ten for me."

I whimper as the sharp object penetrates my skin, and almost instantly I begin to fall towards unconsciousness. The last thing I see is Alice asleep before I'm consumed by the darkness.
