"Here goes nothing," I said habang bumubunot sa sorting hat ng magiging big idea ng thesis ko for finals.

Our thesis this time is a minimum five hundred paged back to back, size 9, Times New Roman, hard bound novel.Yun ang gagawin for 3months sa subject na to.

"Dang," I whispered when I saw what's written on the paper.

Pinakita ko iyon and I miserably watch Professor Dumbledore type my big idea for my final's thesis.

I get back when I say there's no rules in this course.This class with Dumbledore takes away our freedom!

"You know, this sorting hat thing with Dumbledore's classes will be the cause of death of my brain cells!Hinahamon ako!"

Syempre, sinalubong ako agad ni Vi ng reklamo pagbalik ko sa upuan galing sa prof namin.

"Marinig ka," I glared at her.She made a face.

"Nasa taas tayo hindi na tayo maririnig nyan."

All our classrooms in our major subjects are mini theatre type.

"That wizard! Main characters naman ang big idea nya ngayon!I already finished my thesis in my head for this subject! Ginulo nya ang lahat!" Vi said with narrowed eyes ,fataly directed on our prof in front.

I sighed.Equally annoyed.

"Same." I said and cast our spell to that old living organism.

"Avada kedavra, Avada kedavra, Avada kedavra, Avada kedavra ..."

We whispered in unison until we're calmed down and satisfied.

For the love of all the luck we have, never pang nawala sa list of professors namin itong si Sir Zacharias.He's always our cause of death!

We call him Dumbledore because he literally looked like him.Unlike all our other classes, where we all have our freedom to choose what to write, in his class, our works depends on that sorting hat.

Well, we are somehow still free to write what genre and plot we want, but we need to incorporate whatever we got from the hat.At nakakainis yun dahil most of the time, before pa mag-announce ng mga gagawin ang profs sa subjects namin, may tapos na kaming story sa mga kanya kanyang utak namin na kailangan nalang isulat.

Dahil kung hindi ganun, papatayin ka ng no-masterpieces-before-deadline motto nila.

At basic novel writing ethic yun.For me.

Before you write the story, it should be finished in your head already.

That's the cheat.

Pero syempre, sira yun dahil sa sorting hat!

Christmas party is real.Bunutan.

Now, its a main character.

"What you got?" Vi asked.

"You first."

She rolled her eyes."Prosecutor."

I almost burst out laughing.So much for someone who hates Law people.

"Stop it, I'll just search on the internet," she said all energy drained.

"Oh ,you won't" I said a matter of factly.

One interesting fact about writers like us, is the amount of research we do before we write.For a novel, we do research atleast 2months! In flesh.

"What's your plan?" I ask.
