"Neilson, I'm going into work late tomorrow so don't worry about picking Cleo up..I'll take her.." I inform him as I brush past his office. He looked up from his laptop with a nod, "okay Mimi. Good luck" he waved.

It was now Thursday, meaning the first appointment with the OBYGN is tomorrow. I headed down to my car after saying bye to Riley too, making my way over to Cleos elementary school, waiting for 3pm when she finished.

I was nervous for the first appointment. This time it's easier, knowing I have a whole group of people there for me, including Lucas. When I was pregnant with Cleo, it was just my mom and I since I didn't want to tell Lucas.

It's always nerve racking going to these kind of appointments, yet it's also exciting. Once they tell you how far along you are and when you're due..it's the most incredible feeling.

I watch out the tinted window as my small blonde princess ran over to the car, opening and climbing Into the backseat "hello mommy!" She bursted almost instantly "hey baby..how was school?" I ask, starting the engine once she was buckled in

"It was sooo good! I played with Sophie and Katie and we were pretending to be mermaids all day..Sophie was Emma and Katie was Ricky and I was cleo because that's my name..Mommy did you name me after the mermaid?" She rambled on. I laughed, "yes baby, you are named after the mermaid" I sigh, telling her what she wants to hear

"Wow! Maybe that means I'm part mermaid.." she trailed off, her eyes shifting to the outside world as I drove. We soon returned home, her rushing up to her bedroom to play while I changed out of my tight pencil skirt into black very baggy large sweatpants and an oversized dark green sweatshirt. I sat on the couch with my phone beside me, picking up the remote and flicking through Netflix

I let the cool cushions of the couch engulf me, resting my head on the side as I watched how to get away with murder for the 7th time in the past two years. can you blame me?

I glanced over to my phone, unlocking it and checking the time in the large white letters. 3:42pm. I heard a knock on the main door, my head whipping over to it. It was strange, unless Farkle had finished early, no one gets home till about 5:30.

I stood up, pausing my show and shuffling over to the door, checking my appearance in the mirror just to make sure I don't look like I've been lying on the couch for half an hour. I reach for the door handle, opening it wide to see Lucas leaning against the doorframe

Almost instantly, my hormones kicked in again sending welling tears to my eyes. He frowned, "oh baby" he mumbled, wrapping his arms around my waist tightly. He shuffled us both inside more, kicking the door closed with his foot

"w-why are you here?" I ask against his chest. He chuckled, "I've come to see my fiancé..my child.." he replied, letting me pull him over to the couch "I've missed you so much..and it's only been a week.." i push him down, lying down beside him with my head in his neck, inhaling in the sandalwood scent of his cologne

"I've missed you too.." he replied, his arms wrapping around me and holding me tightly "Cleos upstairs do you want me to go get her?" I ask after a few moments. He shook his head with a small chuckle, "actually..I have to talk to you about something.." he trailed off.

I felt my heart sink. What if he wanted to be un engaged? What if he's not ready for a second child? "Oh..that's why you're here.." I mumble. I felt him nod slightly, "Yea..it is.." he replied

I sat up from him, allowing him to sit up too. I played with my fingers, my eyes glued to the nail polish that was there "Maya I sold my house" he stated, followed by a soft laugh. One that read 'this is crazy'

My head whipped up to his, "you what?" I question. He nodded, "I sold it" he repeated. "You're moving here?" I ask, my eyebrows raised. He smiled, "Yes. I'm moving up here" he replied

"b-but what about work?..Zay and Isadora?..your pappy joe?" I ask. He shrugged, "they can visit. It's not a big deal. And I told you I have a clinic up here, I own the company and it's already built so there's no need to wait..I just transferred to here" he stated nonchalantly

My jaw dropped, "s-so you're gonna be here..for the pregnancy.." I stutter. He nodded, "I mean and forever after that but if you don't want that then-" I cut him off by crashing my lips onto his, catching his words in my mouth. He kissed back of course, his hand lying on the small of my back

"This is all I want..you, me, cleo and bean.." I smile "me too, baby. That's why I did it without telling you..surprise.." he smirked. I bit my lip, leaning down to kiss him again "I love you.." I mutter against him

"Thank you" I add. He tucked a strand of hair behind my ear, "I love you too baby.." he smiled softly, his eyes dancing over my features "mommy! I can't find my fairy princess blue haired barbie Malibu season 3 doll!" Cleo called from the top of the stairs

"I found it baby, it's here" I call back with a smirk. Moments later, you can hear the small pats of her feet hitting the marble floor of the stairs until she reaches the floor "daddy!" She screamed, running over to the couch

She practically shoved me off of his lap, climbing onto it herself. He chuckled, "you alright princess?" He asked as she wrapped her arms around his neck. She nodded, "daddy what are you doing here! Are you coming to see the baby?" She asked, pointing over to my stomach

He nodded, "you know how you came to my house and then you had to say goodbye?" He asked. This time she nodded, "well I sold that house..and now I'm gonna live with you and mommy.." he smiled, watching as her face lit up brightly

"Really! You're staying forever and ever?!" She widened her eyes. "Yes baby..forever" he smiled, "just the four of us" he added, his head turning to me with a smile.
