22 A glitchy encounter

( crosses pov)

I just got out of the castle walls and was heading back to the surface Dream was right I don't belong here I belong up on the surface with my father I was about to swim up but something grabbed my wrist and pulled me back down I spun around to be met with a very confused error in front of me "what are you doing cross" he asked I looked at him worriedly I didn't know I was crying till a tear fell off my cheek error got the message that something was wrong he brought me to the nearest coral reef and sat down gesturing me to do the same I went over and sat down "what happened cross" error spoke softly I started to tell him everything wiping some tears off as I spoke error just nodded along signaling that he's listening

After I was done telling error everything he told me that's he understood. And invited me to his castle to stay for a little bit I declined but thanked him for the opportunity he sighed and nodded "ok we'll be safe" and swam off

[ 7 weeks later ]

I was in my castle on my way to my office my father has caught a very saver sickness and may die witch I hope he dose he hurt my beloved and deserves to die I opened the big Woden double doors to my office and sat down doing the rest of my paperwork I needed to get finished

( two hours later)

I sighed and sat back in my chair I finished the rest of my paperwork and I was kinda bored I got an Idea so I sat up and stretched and went to the doors opening and closing them softly heading down the hallway to a secret entrance I used to use when I was a kid it was old and dusty but I went in and headed through it only to be met by another door that I opened to see a magnificent beach with waves crashing down on the sand I walked up to the water being carful that it didn't touch me and looked out at the horizon 'I wonder how nightmare is doing' I thought to myself

[ with dream and ink third person pov]

Nightmare was woken up about a week ago and dream and ink where glad he was ok but the first thing he asked was "where is cross?" Dream looked down in anger by that name ink just looked sad nightmare was confused why "he...he left" ink finally spoke this caught nightmare off guard and put him and a state of panic "w-what why what happened" nightmare asked frantically dream just looked at him with a little bit of discussed "why do you even care for him he's the one who hurt you anyway" Dreams words hurt nightmare he's never seen Such an angry dream it kinda scared him "what no he saved me" nightmare spoke a little shaky because of how angry Dream was "what was the last thing you remember" ink asked "umm well I went up to the surface to see the stars....and then something hit me.. it went black but next thing I knew I was in crosses castle and his father walked in and asked me some questions....then...then he..." tears stared to prick down his face "he stabbed me in the tail twice and it went black again....but I opened my eyes a little bit to see I was in the water and I saw crosses worried face....I told him that my tail hurt....he knew and he tried to keep me awake but I just couldn't....soon everything was still black but I could here and fell I felt a hand in mine and crosses sweet voice saying he was sorry that it was all his fault" at this point nightmare was crying a lot by the memories dreams face went into shock by the story realizing he had blamed cross for no reason cross didn't hurt nightmare he saved him he was such an idiot he would have let cross explain himself "I just wanted to hug him and tell him everything was alright that I'm ok..." nightmare finished and ink gave a worried yet understanding look Dream was in shock and worried because of him cross is gone he could be lost hurt or even worse dead....

He has to fix this knowing cross he must have went back to his castle so dream made a plan in his head to bring cross back and apologize to him.
