Thinking outside the box

I had a dream the other night. It was of my mama, Ty and diamond. They all looked older now and they were arguing, but I wasn't able to say anything. I just stood there and watched and they couldn't see me. It got me thinking a lot and I realised how much I missed home, I'd been talking less and zoning out more. Link hadn't really noticed until now.

"You wanna blunt ?" Link asked

"Nah I'm cool" I replied

Link went out back on the balcony leaving me alone. My phone started to ring on a private number and at first I tried to figure out who it was before answering it.

"Hello ?" I answered

"Is this kylo Anderson sanders ?" It was a male voice

"Who is this ?" I asked

"I'm officer Romario August, I'm working on the missing person case of Mr sanders" he replied

"Missing person ?" I replied

"Yes, is this kylo Anderson sanders ?" He repeated

"I-i think you've got the wrong number" I pressed the end call button quickly

I sighed not actually processing completely what had happened. I looked at my phone for a acceptable amount of seconds before link came back into the room.

"Ay what's up with that scared look on your ugly ass face" he laughed

"Ay ain't your real name Lawrence August ?" I questioned

"Don't fucking remind me" he chuckled

"I just got a call from a Romario August" I scratched the back of my head

"Shit the detective !?" He jumped up

"Y-yeah" I said

"Man what the fuck did you say" I had his full attention

"I said he had the wrong ass number" I explained

"Good" he sighed

I started thinking about what it would've been like if I said it was me and what would of happened ? Would it of been quick or slow process ? My thoughts were in a muddle and i knew it would take some time to un do that. I was about to ask link something when mario walked in.

"Ay fellas what we doing ?" He smirked

"We chilling boss, as we agreed" link had no fear

"Just chillin ? Ain't nobody out here for time for just chillin ! Now link you got my money from Tyler and his little gang yet ?" He folded his arms

Tyler. My younger brother Tyler, this seemed to just get worse and worse as everybody was some how linked together in a way. First that chresanto guy and diamond. Then the detective and link, and then me and Ty. Link responded but I took no notice until mario left us alone. I put my head in my hands.

"Ay what's up now ?" He asked

"Tyler" I said plainly

"Yeah this guy thinking he can run from money or shit" he kissed his teeth

"Green eyes and around my height ?" I asked

"Yeah" his face scrunched up slightly

"Got a tat of a cross on the side of his neck ?" I asked

"Yeah you know him ?" He relaxed

"You ever shot him or some shit ?" I questioned

"Nah, he punched me once though" he shrugged
