They got there just as the ambulance pulled in. They ran to see if it was really them. They couldn't see past the people tending to them. So they tried to listen as best as they could when a doctor ran over to the bundle of people.

"What's wrong with her?"

"Head trauma, a cut on her side, and glass in her leg, stomach, and arms."

"What about the other one involved in the accident?"

"Was unresponsive when we got there, we were able to get him to respond in the ambulance, but he's not responding now."

"Okay, we're trained for this! Let's save these kids lives!"

They were out of hearing range and so Declan and Jordan could only sit and wait. They had already called Naomi's parents and Bennett's brother and sister, they were all on their way.

All Declan could do was sit and wait for the doctor to tell them something, but he couldn't help but think this was his fault. He was the one who told Bennett about her date and where they were at, he thought Bennett would go and tell her how he really feels and then everything would be good but maybe he shouldn't have told him. Maybe he was the reason why they were in the hospital now. Maybe it was all his fault. Declan could only think one thing, he should have kept his mouth closed.

Jordan was a mess. He kept pacing the waiting room, pulling on his hair so much that he may go bald at an early age. He couldn't help but think he could have told Naomi that he didn't like that she was going out on a date, that she shouldn't go. That he should have told her just how much he didn't like the idea of her out with another guy, but he kept his mouth closed. He craved to feel her kiss again, to see her smile, to hear her laughter. He had a sour taste in his mouth at the thought of his best friend and love of his life being in surgery.

Soon their families arrived and asked if there was an update. Jordan couldn't even look them in the eye as he shook his head.

Naomi's parents broke out crying and held onto each other for dear life. Bentley scowled at anyone who looked at him, not happy with the feeling he had in his chest.

It was hours before the doctor finally came to them in his white coat and clipboard, "Are any of you the parents of Naomi Lorraine?"

"Yes! Yes, that's us." Marisa stepped forward with her husband holding onto her.

"Hi I'm Dr. Wendell and I'll be taking care of your daughter." He gave them his hand to shake.

They shook his hand. He gave them a pitiful smile and went on to tell them the news about their daughter, "When she came in she had head trauma, glass in her, and cuts and bruises." They nodded for him to continue. He gave them a smile as he continued, "We were able to clean up all the glass and gave her stitches on her side and a couple other cuts, but she's alright now and you can visit her in an hour."

"Wait." Hank stopped the doctor before he could leave. "What about her head trauma?"

"We're motoring her right now, that's why you can visit her in an hour when we have finished getting what we need. We'll let you know when there's been a change." He smiled at them kindly before turning around and heading back to check up on her.

They all let out a breath but they still felt like there were a ton of bricks on their shoulders.

An hour passed and no news on Bennett but Naomi's parents were able to go visit her. Brennan had arrived thirty minutes later, eyes red and a mess with her clothes all out of place. Bentley came and wrapped his arms around her, shushing her sobs as he took her to go sit down.
