I woke up at around twelve. My neck was killing me due to sleeping on the love seat. I got up and went to the cabinet to get cat food. I filled Monkey and Kitty's bowls full because I honestly didn't know my plans for the day. I went up stairs and got my dirty clothes so that I could wash them. I made halfway down the stairs until they were a knock at the door.

I dropped the clothes basket and rushed to the door. It was only my mom. She had came over to bring me a plate of food from her church dinner. I had plans on going to that, but coming home late last night effected that. My mom went into the kitchen and started running the water. I knew she was washing my dishes she always does things like that when she's over.

"So, how did the event go last night feather?" asked my mother.

"It was okay. I'm sorry about not being able to attend the church dinner this morning," I replied.

She dried her wet hands from the water and said, "Katy I'm worried about you. You're going to have to come out of this shell you're in."

I just rolled my eyes because she's always lecturing me about being so sheltered after the divorce. It wasn't long after until she left. I finally put the clothes in the washer because that was my plans to do in the first place. Once I got the washer loaded I decided to go take a nice bath.

I ran the water. Not too hot, but not near as cold. It was perfect. I slipped off my pajamas from last night and hopped on into the bath. It was very relaxing laying in the warm water, but it wasn't long until my cell phone started ringing. It was only Shannon.

"Hello honey," I said.

"Hey hey!" Shannon replied.

I raised up in the tub and said, "Anything I can help you with on this fine day?"

"Yes! Get your ass ready and go out with us tonight."

"I don't know. I'm killed out from yesterday," I explained.

"Katy." she said, "That's always your excuse. You're going out, so get ready. I'll be there around seven."

She had hung up before I even had time to reply. Maybe she was right. Going out for tonight might be just what I need. I finished up my bath, and began to wonder what i should wear tonight. I had so much to wear, but it's so hard to choose what to wear when you don't even feel like yourself anymore.
