I woke in the chair next to my dad. He was awake and eating. My mom was at the door talking to the doctor. She seemed please, so hopefully that meant good news.
"Hey sport!" said my father.
I smiled and replied, "Hey old man!"
He laughed and said, "I really appreciate you staying. I'm sorry you had to leave your party, but I'm glad I had you by my side."
I just smiled and held his hand tightly. I told my mom that I was leaving to go home, and that I'd be back later that evening. As I was leaving the hospital I saw Angela and Svend pull up. She was carrying balloons that read, "Get Well!" I smiled because I love how big my sister's heart is. I had to call Shannon for a ride because I didn't have my car with me.
I stood there for a few minutes before she finally arrived. As I stood there I saw a vehicle pull in. I didn't know who was in it, but I couldn't take my eyes off of it. When I saw who it was I stood there in shock. You would never believe who it was. It none other than John Mayer.
