Chapter 34: happy again

Chase's pov

I stand up out of the bed and smile

Today she's gonna have the best welcome home surprise ever

But first I need to handle two things

I walk out of the room after kissing Addison's head and go inside the cells

I walk down to tanners and stand in front of it

He looks up at me and the first thing I notice is his busted nose and lip

"What do you want?" He asks in disgust

"Why did you even come tanner? You knew how large my pack was. You knew yours wasn't strong enough. This looks/sounds like a suicide mission" I say with a hard face

I notice his eyes water slightly and pain flash through them before he masks it

"I know how strong we are. We were capable to wipeout your pack. We still are" he says with an evil glint in his eyes

"Well you're not getting out of here anytime soon so you better get comfortable" I say "oh and here"

I slide a plate under the bars. I got him eggs, bacon, and toast

"Don't worry I didn't poison it" I say smirking

"Why the hell would you be nice to me?" He asks looking up at me

"Because I'm not cruel and I don't like to put people in pain. I've been in miserable pain before and I don't want anyone to go through what I had to" I say with a hard face trying not to break

He nods and looks away

I turn to walk but then hear a voice m

"Thank you" I hear him whisper

"No problem" I say back opening the door and locking it

I walk over to the hospital and go to okivers room

I find Carly asleep in a chair beside his bed holding his hand

"Carly" I say shaking her

She jerks her head up and looks at me

"I thought that was Oliver" she whispers

"No just me" I say with a sad smile "why don't you go upstairs and sleep. I'll watch him"

She nods and stands up and Walsh out after kissing Oliver's forehead

She closes the door behind her and I sit down

"Man. Like every alpha I need my beta. We all need you. The pack. Carly. Me. Hell even addison needs you. I can't lose my wingman and you know" I say burying my face in my hands

"You're not gonna lose your wingman you idiot" I hear someone say

I jerk my head up and see Oliver looking at me with a smirk

"Your right. An alpha does need his beta. And Carly needs me. Hell even Addison needs me. She's broken like the rest of us and she needs all of us to put her back together again" he says

I nod and smile "glad to have you back. But we have Addison's other brother in the cells..." I say trailing off

"I thought she only had Tyler" oliver says with a confused face

"This one was different. I don't know the whole story and im not gonna push Addison to tell me but I think you need to see carly" I say standing up

"I do need to see carly" he says wiggling his eyebrows

"You damn pervert" I say shaking my head and laughing at him
