10 months and there still isn't a cure. Food and water supplies has gone down greatly, much or less like the human population. It's been about five weeks and all our runs for food and ammo have come down to nothing. These walls were making me weak, and these people who were careless in making a life for themselves here are stupid enough to forget that the monsters we never thought would come to life are right behind those gates. The life I have here is nothing but shame. It's shame to have to hide behind these walls never to leave even if I wanted to. It's been 10 months since the death of Zack, Alex and Danny. Ten months since I've been planning to escape from this hell that was surly fake in all of its laughter and children who would soon die since the infection has gotten stronger.

All research has failed; everything people had tried, every little vaccine made had failed to keep the infection out. Once you're bitten you might as well just shoot yourself in the head. Over these months I have seen to many people lose each other weather it's trying to escape or going on the supply run and losing your family. Though I must say I have become numb to even let the littlest thing hurt me now. Since my families death and Zack's I have grown to close off everyone and it has done wonders for me.

Alexis was different she had become me; she has changed so much that in time she became me. She changed everything once Danny died. Now it was just us fighting the hell we live in. Everything was at a standstill, but we would soon leave. This place wasn't safe. We were sitting ducks waiting for the infection to break in, and that time wasn't too far away from now.

This world was nothing now, what it had once been, such a beautiful place to live, was now a breeding place for these walkers, "Alexis, we have the morning run today," I said as I tossed her the bag of weapons, "Trey and Mia are coming with us today. Is Sean coming?" She said as she slipped on her boots, "Yeah he said he would, beside he is our sniper so we need him," I sighed, "Last night another one turned, Trey said it's mostly likely that the infection is now spreading through cuts or open wounds," Alexis Continued, "Seems like the infection is only getting stronger, and without a vaccine it's only going to get worse," She paused. I got up and pulled my hair back in a bun, "All we can do is fight, it's what we have always done and it is what we will keep doing until we find a place where we are safe or until this thing is over with," I smiled at her hoping to reassure her. She looked at me and laughed, "Only a few more weeks till we leave," She paused, "I have a feeling Sean and Trey are outside our door," she whispered, "Let's sneak out the window," I whispered as we went out the fire exit, "Katherine!" Sean yelled from our room, "Come on were going to be late!" I yelled as Alexis went ahead of me walking towards the chief, "Seems like he's in a bad mood," She mumbled as Trey and Sean joined us.

"Today you six will be going into the center of the town to gather any little supply's you can find and bring it back. Only thing I have to say to you is stay alive and don't get bit," He growled as he went back the tower singling them to open the gates, "Who's driving?" Mia   yelled as people covered us, "I got it!" James yelled as he jumped in the driver's seat, "Ladies first, "Sean said as he helped me up, "Alexis," Trey said as he gave her to me, "Let's go!" I yelled as I banged on top of the truck's roof. As I sat down I looked at the crowd of zombies gathered around the wall trying to break through, "Seems like more and more come every day," Trey said as he loaded his gun, "Shouldn't we preserve the little ammo we have left?" I questioned him, "Yes, but you never know we could get over run with walkers," He smirked, "Yeah, well don't get ahead of yourself," I growled as I looked away from him.  As we got closer to the center of town more and more hoards for walkers gathered around us making it hard for James to keep going, "Guys we need you to make a small path for James so he can drive through!" Mia yelled as the moaning from the walkers was over powering our voices, "Mia can you cover us from the back in case they climb in?" I shouted as I loaded my guns, "Yeah!" She said as she squeezed through the little window in the back of the truck. As I got on top of the truck Alexis looked at me and shook her head, "We can go," She whispered as we both started aiming for their heads, "Guys watch the dam windows!" James screamed as blood splattered all over the windshield. I looked at Alexis and smiled, "We can't, not yet" I said as I sat down slowly moving to the hood of the truck, "What the hell are you doing!" Sean shouted as Trey grabbed Alexis, "I got it!" I yelled as I started bashing their heads in, "For Christ sakes! Katherine, get back here!" Trey bellowed.
