leaves and petals fall down around me
as i gaze back across the shimmering blue ocean
a gasp escapes my mouth
as i see a whale larger than anything i've ever seen
emerge up through the water
mysteriously silhouetted against the starlit sky
this moment is more magical
than anything i've ever felt
the stars seem to fall from the sky around
and time slows down
making the world shimmer
it's me, the whale, and the world
i could swear
that right then
as my life came into focus
i met the big blue whale's eyes
and something passed between us
a message, a connection
right there and then
i knew that i would never be the same again

a/n: there's a hidden metaphor in this one, but it's much deeper down (haha pun) than the rest of them
