Rin's POV*
Lyssa... I still cant believe how much of a bitch Nemesis was. And how she lied. Like damn she should have said 'oh I dont like kids' or some shit rather than make up some shitty story.
Then I heard the announcement. I sigh with relief. At least they are okay. Im not so sure about Lyssa.
I push my hair from my face, staying quiet. I make my way to the room and caught a glimpse of Andrea. I walk over to them.
"Hey," I say casually, looking at Lyssa who was hugging the life out of her father.
"Hello, Rin," says Andrea.
I suddenly hear a gasp and look at Brian. He was holding Lyssa's arm, revealing the bite. I heard Andrea begin to cry.
"Wh-whats wrong?!" I ask.
"Lyssa... She got bit! Do you know what this means Rin?!?"
".... Uh.. No,"
"She's infected. Contaminated. She's a ticking time bomb. At this very moment the mutant radiation is building up inside her." says Brian.
"Can we stop it?" I ask.
"It would have been done when she first got her bite... But its to late now. Id say in the next few hours it will mature and cause physical changes."
I watch Lyssa's eyes widen. She gets up and just walks away. She didnt say a word.
