17- A war on earth

its been two weeks since my mother came down to earth and it has been a mess. no one looks at me the same anymore, I moved my room into axels because of being mates but the room is bare because we have packed up most of our stuff and currently have all but a few outfits in the car I brought here ready to go.

I wanted to warn my parents of the attack but the moon goddess has prevented it so the only person who knows is adam who once the kingdom has been attacked will get everything ready to crown me queen because it is his job.

Axel and I will be going alone to the kingdom and will send orders for everyone else once everything is sorted and safe to move them across which is when we will take over leadership of the pack and add them to the royal wolves. the vampires have agreed to fight alongside us so some of the vampires who were willing are currently staying in the packhouse so that it is easier to go which has made the packhouse very uneasy especially since all anyone is waiting for is the attack to happen which is taking its sweet time.

I take a seat at the table for lunch when a pounding headache takes over binding me for a few seconds

'that's strange, I never get headaches' i comment to my wolf

'yea about that' my wolf starts before I feel a ripple of pain course through my body making me scream

"Okay that's not cool" I growl out once the pain stops

"is everything okay princess Ashley?" one of the pack members questions, ever since they found out who I am everyone refuses to call me Nora or just Ashley

"I don't know" I comment confused

'you stupid child, it's your powers you dumbass' i hear my mothers voice pop in my head

'hey no need to call me a stupid child, wait powers oh fuck' i speed out before sliding the chair back

"Might want to cover your ears" I laugh to the people around me as they do as told without a seconds thought

"powers arrived" I shout out before I pick up the sound of rushed footsteps

"scratch that, under attack I repeat under attack" I scream out making everyone at the table rush out of the room, the whole house now in a rush to get people into the safe room and everyone outside, I feel a presence behind me and I spin around to see one of the vampires

"what do we do?" he questions as the other vampires line up behind him, Jacob put me in charge of the vampires because I am the only one who really cares about them and know they are no harm.

"okay split into four even groups you guys can pick who goes where I want two groups of you to stand guard by the door of the safe room, one in the room and one out so that they can't get in and if they do we have people to protect them, then the other two groups I want one in the back of the lineup and one in the lineup, they don't know you guys are vampires so try and blend in you guys our the secret weapon. thank you for coming and good luck" I mumble

"Okay princess, we are happy to die for you if it comes to it" one of them comments before pulling vampires with him to go into the safe room

"let's hope it doesn't come to that" I mumble before rushing to the front door to see everyone lined up, there was a lot of arguments about keeping me in with the rest of the members in the safe room but I know we won't come out of this alive without me here if only my powers could have come a few hours before the fight so I wasn't fighting the effects of them coming through while fighting and trying to use them.

I walk up to the front of the lineup and notice Axel already in place, I stand beside him and take a deep breath as everyone else lines up, I turn to look at everyone and give them a recurring nod making me notice the vampires slowing sneaking into random spots

"The safe room is locked in, you never told me they were going in I just had to get Aaron to calm everyone down" Axel comments

"it's safer if we have a lot inside just in case" I comment, we decided to have the whole beta family other then the current beta in the safe room so that if the alpha dies someone can take over the pack.

I don't get a response because in seconds the attackers are standing in front of us with a look of confusion on there face having not realized we would be prepared, I'm sorry ma and dad I think in my mind knowing I will never get to see their beautiful faces again and they could be dying right now and I wouldn't even know.

I notice a movement to the side of us

'incoming from the right' i push through the mind link, almost as if knowing we were distracted they charge throwing us into the fight.

I rush towards claws out and swipe one of the guy's throats making him drop to the ground, a bad feeling washes over me as the sound of howels from the pack and other packs fills the air I can tell none of our pack knows why they are howling its an instinct but I know exactly why

"The Queen and King are dead" I mumble out making the whole fighting stop

"What did you say" one of the rouges questions

"I said the King and Queen are dead" I hiss out before I feel a wave of pain shoot through my body, I stick out my hand and make the guy fly backwards into the tree

"oh hello Princess Ashley" the guy taunts making me roll my eyes

"enough is enough" I hiss trying to channel my powers to kill them for nothing to happen

'what's wrong' axel questions through the mind link

'i can't get my powers to work' i mumble back into his

'hopefully, this works' i get back into my head I go to question why only to realize when I look up and notice him shift and lunge into a ground of the rouges

"you'll get killed" I growl out to try and stop him, I feel a bite to my leg and know that he was just bite

"How dare you bite my mate" I cry out before I push my hands out, my mum's reminder to channel it towards the bad guys pops in my head

"attackers, attackers, attackers" I chant over and over again hoping that it works, my mother really does suck she could have at least told me how to channel it.

the attackers start dropping to the ground like dead flies and relief floods over me

"check that they are all dead" I growl out to the pack before rushing to Axel to see him almost fully healed, a pro of being mated to me.

"you could have gotten yourself killed" I hiss once I am sure he is okay.

"I knew you wouldn't allow me too" he smiles softly making me roll my eyes

"you are a dumbass" I growl making him shake his head

"and all yours, now think we should go" Axel laughs pulling himself off the ground

"they all dead?" I question the pack making everyone nod

"okay tell everyone its safe to come out, vampires you guys can go back thank you for helping, please collect up any of our dead and arrange a funeral, and burn the bodies of the attackers please if you need anything you know the process" I command out before taking off after Axel towards the car.

"Why are you driving?" axel questions as I jump in the driver's seat

"do you know the way to the castle?" I question making him shake his head

"exactly" I laugh before starting the car and beginning to drive, lets hope a few people survied.
