He notices the rope in her hands and he unties himself before getting off the chair.
Elijah slowly approaches her and she stares at the ground, silently crying.
"Why?" he asks as he lifts her head up,"y-you were happy."
She laughs humorlessly,"Happy? No. I'm far from it. But you? You were happyㅡ"
"Were, that's past tense. I haven't been happy in years but you? You made me remember what being happy felt like," he pulls her into his arms and holds onto her,"I hate myself so much but I love you and being with you made me forget what hating myself felt like."
Amethyst screamed, she cried and wailed. She didn't want him to die! He didn't deserve it, if she had been just a few minutes late, he wouldn't been dead.
"Why didn't you say anything?" she asked him curiously
"The same reason you didn't," he gave her a sad smile
