The sunlight reflected off of the rock I was holding. It felt warm in my hands. Strangley warm, though. I studied it in my hands, flipping it around. It felt like a rock, but it didn't seem like one. It was red, and it shone like the sun.
"Kat! Hurry up, we're going to head back down!" My uncle Will called. Me and him had climbed up a mountain to study rocks. I slipped the rock into my backpack, and put it on.
I caught up with my uncle, and we headed back down the mountain. For some reason, my backpack felt like it was getting heavier. I shrugged it off, and kept going.
Once back at my uncle's small house, I flopped down on my bed. I took out the one rock that I had found. It seemed hotter. Oh well. I must be hallucinating. I thought. I dumped the rock into my closet, and went to sleep.
