Yeah...so I made a mistake with the other part and it kinda of ended awkwardly, so this is Chapter 3 part 2. Enjoy!

xoxo,

Alexis's P.O.V.

It was December 14, cold, snowing, and I could guess there were probably a hundred other students just standing there. Staring. Gawking. But I couldn't see them, so it didn't really matter. I knew they thought I was normal...well er, not blind. So maybe Luke was just a weirdo and everyone was looking at him? Or did something happen that I missed? Did they treat all their new students like this? The cold cleared by mind and I shivered. It was just so impractical to wear a skirt in this weather, it was stupid that we weren't allowed to wear pants.

I felt Luke stiffen by my side.

"Luke, if you want to stay out here, fine by me, but I'm really cold and I need to pick up my schedule."

"It's okay Alex, I'll just come with you. I don't want you to get attacked on your first day."

"Sure, whatever," I said with a shrug and started walking briskly. SMACK! The door slammed right in my face. "Ow..." I groaned, blushing a bright red. That must have looked really stupid.

"Oh my god... I'm so sorry," a girl said.

"It's fine.." I managed a shaky smile and continued to the office. Luke hadn't even said a word, but I swore I heard a chuckle.

"I think your face left a mark on the door," he laughed quietly.

"Oh shut up," I muttered.

"Hello," the secretary said in a bored voice. "How may I help you?"

"Hi there, I'm a new student... my name is Alexis Tey."

"Oh okay, here's your schedule and you'll get all your books later in class."

I laughed to myself, were these people stupid or did my mom just forget to mention I was blind? Books were not useful at all, unless they were in Braille, which I doubted they were.

"You have Physics, World Literature, Gym, Advanced Calculus and History. Nice, we have the same schedules." Luke said, reading over my shoulder. "We can walk together."

Thank god, I thought. If he wasn't here, I wouldn't have known what were my subjects.

I nodded and combed my fingers through my notty hair.

"Let's get to our physics class," he suggested. I followed after him, sticking close.

We entered the room, the first ones there. I was glad. It meant that I wouldn't have to stand up and do a silly introduction. Our teacher, Mr. Shonet was very strict and he was very loud. He handed me a textbook and I couldn't help but chuckle. I knew how to write, and my mom told me my writing was fairly neat, but I had never thought I'd actually have to write in a real situation like this one. Physics was easy. I am blind, but I'm not stupid. I learned faster than other students, so I was a year ahead in my old school, but here they decided to put me with the students my age. The only thing I was dreading today would be a teacher asking me to read.

Class flew by really quickly and Luke didn't murmur a single word to me. He was really absorbed with his work, I could hear his pencil scratching because he had sat down beside me. The bell rang and everyone got up. I packed up my stuff in my bag and bid farewell to Mr. Shonet. I could tell Luke was infront of me because he smelled like fresh mint. Mmm, yummy. Wait, why am I thinking these thoughts? I promised myself that after hearing what had happened with mom and dad, I'd never fall in love, I'd never love Christmas.

Ms. Riley was our teacher for World Lit. She was very preppy and loved all kinds of books. I read and was read to a lot of books before so I knew about many of the books that she was discussing. We were going to start with a classical, Romeo and Juliet.

"Today class, we're going to have a little in-class assignment on your knowledge of Romeo and Juliet to see how much you really know about them," Ms. Riley announced as the class groaned and complained. My heart skipped a beat, as she started handing out papers. There was no way I could do this.

Suddenly there was a knock on the classroom door, " Could Alexis Tey please follow me to the Guidance Room? Her guidance counsellor would like to see her."

Ms. Riley nodded and said, "Alexis, go ahead. You can do the assignment for homework."

Luke muttered a, "Lucky bum."

I grabbed my stuff and shoved it into my bag before cautiously walking towards the person.

I wasn't expecting such a jolly counsellor who offered food to all the students.

"Why hello there Alexis, how are you liking Freeview academy?" he asked.

"Umm...well it's fun, and I was just in my second period so I still need to get used to the school." I said, unsure of myself.

"Well then, okay. If you need anything, don't be shy to ask. I'll be here almost all the time," he chuckled.

"Okay thanks.. Mr.?"

"Mr. Shanning."

"Thanks Mr. Shanning, see you around" (pun intended) I couldn't help but chuckle ironically.

I ran into someone again, "oomph." It was Luke, I could smell the mint off of his clothes.

"Where'd you come from?" I asked.

"Oh, I came to find you. I forgot to tell you, we have lunch now and then after is the Variety show." he said.

"Variety show?" I couldn't help but wonder out loud.

"Yea, it's like a Talent Show."

"Are you in it?" I asked.

Luke chuckled nervously. "Well, kind of...ish. Not really. The football team is doing a dumb musical 5 minute-skit thing."

I couldn't reall help but raise an eyebrow, "Oh?"
