Katatapos ko lang ipasa lahat ng projects para sa finals. Nandito lang ako sa library at tahimik na nagbabasa ng libro. Kahit tapos na kasi ang finals namin. Kailangan ko pa rin mag aral. At hindi porket malapit na ang summer ay petiks na kami. It's a big NO. We still need to study para naman hindi namin nakakaligtaan ang mga inaaral namin. It's kinda stressful but it's okay. Nag eenjoy din naman ako lalo na't may mga circle of friends na kami ni Ocean.
"Hi Ckaress. Pwedeng makiupo?" Si Harold, classmate ko sa buong semester. He is kinda nerd. Kasi puro libro ang hanap. Siya yung tipong aloof sa tao. In short he is an introvert. Pero mabait siya.
"Sure, upo ka. Wala naman akong kasama." As I've said and continue reading articles.
It took an hour to finished my research and such. I still have time to read books. "So, you love reading books" It was Harold. He's smiling at me.
"Yeah, I love reading books so much. This is my favorite hobby. I rarely read because of our schedule. You know it's hectic." Di ko namalayan na napahaba pala ang kwentohan namin. Pero mahina lang para hindi kami mapagalitan ng librarian.
"It was nice talking to you Ckaress. Thanks for the time." He broke the silence between us. Because I busy fixing my stuffs.
"My pleasure. I enjoyed talking with you. Gotta go see you around Harold." I smiled at him and I'm walking out of the library. But before I reach the door.
"Ckaress" Harold is now beside me. Maybe he need something. So I faced him.
"Yes Harold.?Is there something you want to say?" I asked him genuinely. Before he utter a word. He scratch his head while grinning.
"Uhm I just wanna ask you if can we friends?" I smiled at him because he's so cute while doing that. I found it adorable. So I offer my hand at him. And he gladly accept it.
"Friends." I said. And we both smiling.
After that scenario. I'm heading back to our room.
Our subject for 2 hours is psychology 102.I can say that this is one of the most likely. Because I'm enjoying every bit of the lesson. Call me a nerd or whatever but I love this kind of subject.
"Hey Ckaress. Where have you been?" It's Madison one of my classmate and she's a brat. But she's nice unlike the others.
"I went to the library." I simply said and headed to my seat.
She didn't bother to say anything. And she headed back to her seat. And then our professor came in.
"Good afternoon class." Mr. Ruiz greeted us. And we greeted him as well.
"So class we will having our reach out program before the class ends. Attendance is a must so all of you should be able to attend." Everyone is kinda excited for this. Neither I, I can't wait for this. After the announcement we proceed to our lessons.
"Last meeting we tackled about the Intelligence testing. Did you remember what we discussed about Intelligence Testing? Before we proceed to the next topic, I want you to recall any information that we discussed last meeting." Our professor is indeed a pro. He's kinda strict seems fine with me because he is really professional tho. Most of my classmates hates this subject. Nobody is willing to answer so instead I just raise my hand. And Mr. Ruiz saw me raising my hand and he approached me.
"Yes, Miss Mendes. Will you please give me an answer."I stood up and cleared my throat before going to speak.
" As far I remember, we discussed about Measuring Intelligence which is forced to be sterilized due to low IQ score. It is based on by Leilani Muir. And also, we tackle about different approaches to intelligence testing and intelligence and perception by Galton :Galton's Anthropometric Approach it says that he believed that because people learn about the world through their senses, those with superior sensory abilities would be more intelligent. Well Anthropometric is a method of measuring of physical and mental variations in human ". After I spoke all of my classmates are clapping their hands including our professor. He barely do that. Because he seems perfectionist. And I smiled because it seems that I impressed him.
" Excellent Miss Mendes. You impressed me with your answers. You are indeed a good student. Keep it up." He smiled.
"Thank you Sir." As I seated. Perci congratulates me. He is my gay friend. He is also a kpop lover. Kaya naging close kami. I mouthed "thank you". Nagpatuloy ang aming lecture. At mukhang attentive lahat. Kaya natuwa si Sir kasi mukhang halos lahat ay nakiki pag-participate na sa klase. After 2 hours. We finally dismissed.
"Guys, let's hang out for a bit. It's been stressing this past few days. I need to chill." Umarteng mahihimatay na si Perci kaya nagsitawanan kami.
"Let's go to the mall."Madison suggested, So we all agreed and we're all headed to the mall. We took a cab. Apat lang naman kami. Tatlo kami sa likod, Si Madison, Katherine at ako. Si Perci ang nasa passenger seat. Ang arte talaga ng baklang ito.
It took 15 minutes to get to the mall. So we're all going to a korean restaurant. Because Perci suggested it and we all agreed. I missed eating samgyupsal.
"Guys it's my treat. Huwag kayong mahiya." - Nagulat ako kay Madison kaya tumingin ako sa kanya.
"Are you sure? Matakaw kaya si Perci. Baka maubos laman ng wallet mo niyan." I joked and all of them are laughing.
"Kapal neto. Huy bakla matakaw ka din.Dito pa tayo sa korean restaurant. Sino kaya sa'tin ang madaming kakainin. Lokaret ka." And we burst into laughter. Sobrang kalog kasi ni Perci and. Dahil ngayon ko lang naman nakasama si Madison at Katherine. Seems Madison is okay. She's fun to be with. She's like Ocean. Hay nakakamiss naman yung karagatan na yun. Palibhasa kasi nasa States eh. Doon na niya tatapusin ang internships niya. Nabalik lang ako sa reyalidad ng.
"Hey, Ckaress you're spacing out. Are you okay?" - Mukhang napansin din nila Perci at Katherine ang pananahimik ko bigla.
"Wala to gutom lang to. Tara kain na tayo." Inumpisahan ko nang lumantak. At ganun din sila. Hindi namin mapigilan tumawa ng malakas dahil sa kalokohan ni Perci. At dinamay niya pa kaming tatlo. Biruin niyo kinuha niya yung ibang sauce sa counter. At di pa nakuntento nagpapacute pa sa staff na guy kasi naman pogi din si kuya. Kaya sobra kaming natawa. Si Madison naman nakisakay na din. She even asked the staff to take a picture with us. OMG nakakahiya tong dalawang to.Pero go with the flow lang kami ni Katherine. Well Katherine is kinda timid. Pero matalino siya at mabait. Once ko na kasi siyang nakasama sa group projects and she is really good.
"Hey Mads, send mo sa akin yang pictures natin. Ay wait. I'll make an GC exclusively for us girls what do ya think?" Maarteng pagkasabi ni Perci. Lokaret talaga tong baklang to. But despite of that I like them. They're my true friends. I can sense that they are a good people. Despite of their personality.
" Much better. So that we could update each other. "-Katherine agreed to Perci's suggestion. And we all nod.
"So what will be the name of our group chat then?"Madison asked while sipping her juice.
" Done. I already made an GC for us. So anong name ang ilalagay ko? "Habang umiinom ako ng juice ay may nahagip ang mata ko. Sa di kalayuan ay nakikita kong palapit sa pwesto namin sina Travis at ang mga kasama niya. Hindi naman sina Red at Wayne ang kasama niya. So I just tried to ignored it and pretend that I didn't saw him.
"Ilagay mo na lang DYOLOGS. Tara na may bibilhin pa ako sa NB. Si Katherine din may bibilhin din siya." Hindi ko pinahalata na nagmamadali ako. Ginawa kong excuse yung kay Katherine.
"What DYOLOGS? Huy bakla ibahan natin hindi tayo jologs or what. Dyosa tayo ano ka ba!".Kung hindi lang ako nagmamadali kukutusan ko tong isang to eh.
"Bakla,DYOLOGS stands for DYOSANG KALOGs okay na ba?. Bahala ka kung papalitan mo yan basta ako pupunta ako sa NB. Hey Madison thanks sa treat. Ingat sa pag uwi." After I bid my goodbye. I walked outside and heading to NB. Hindi ko namalayan na nakasunod sa akin si Katherine. I was shocked kasi ang alam ko ay uuwi na siya or what.
" Oh Hi Katherine. Akala ko uuwi ka na or mag stay ka pa kasama nila. Nasa loob na kami ng NB. Dumeretso na ako sa notebooks section. Ibibili ko ng notebook si Stella. And of course I will buy some yellow pad for me and books.
" Hmm actually nagtataka nga sila kung bakit mukhang nagmamadali ka. Pero don't worry susunod yung dalawa. Nasa comfort room lang. Hindi pa naman daw sila uuwi. Tsaka gaya ng sabi mo kanina. Bibili talaga ako ng libro. Buti nga nabanggit mo kasi muntik ko ng makalimutan. Hehe. "Katherine looks adorable. Mahinhin siya tignan.
" Tsaka ang witty mo sa pag isip ng name ng GC. Actually yun yung nilagay ni Perci eh. '' - She added while standing beside me. And she's getting a book too.
"Ano kasi. Hindi ako magtatagal dito. After this I'm going home. And good for you. You seem to be a talking a lot now. Unlike before. Keep it up. Tsaka welcome ka sa amin." I was surprised when she embraced me.
"Thank you so much Ckaress. Actually ngayon lang ako nagkaroon ng circle of friends na tulad niyo. This is my first time hanging out. Wala kasi akong masiyadong close sa school eh. Alam mo na nerd ako. Kaya iniiwasan ako ng mga tao." I feel bad for her. Pero hindi ko pinakita yun. Instead of.
" You know what. Don't mind those people and such because they aren't your business. Do whatever you want and stay optimistic. And one more thing is from now on. You will never be alone. You have me and the rest of the DYOLOGS." - We both chuckling when somebody's hugging us. And we noticed that Madison and Perci's hugging us. Like we're having a first group hug. It felt so good.
We took a picture of it. And we captured it OUR FIRST GROUP HUG. After our drama scenario at NB. We stayed at arcades for a couple of hours and then we went to Starbucks. Having conversations with them makes me happy. I found a circle of friends with a lot of humour and good personality. So when I get home. I finished reading and helping my family with the chores. I'm about to sleep because I had a tiring day. When my phone beeps. I saw the notification on our GC. They're still awake at this hour. Especially Madison and Perci. Katherine is not online. I know she'll probably sleeping by now. I just chat them for a few minutes and then I bid my goodnight.Thank you for this wonderful day.
