☆━━━"ELEVATOR'S JUST AROUND THIS CORNER!"

A scowl danced on my face as I followed behind my brothers, still bothered by the fact Leo let the squishes run off into danger so easily. I've neva' been the type to show much emotion other than anger, but tha' thought of Grayson puttin' herself in danger to help us, when we could handle it on our own, didn't sit right with me at all.

And I wouldn't admit this shit out loud, but the little blonde was startin' to grow on me, and that thought alone terrified the hell outta me.

"Alright Guys, listen up! We stick to my plan, and we won't fail. Fan out in three, two, one..." Leo was sayin', but his voice suddenly trailed off as we quickly rounded the corner.

I came to a sudden halt, my right arm flyin' out to stop Mikey who was runnin' beside me; my gaze hardened when I realized we weren't running to an elevator, but instead were runnin' for a group of Foot soldiers. Fuckin' great. Leo and Donnie stood in front of me and Mikey, all of us mirrorin' the same expression.

I raised my arms, facin' my palms in a surrenderin' motion as Mikey did the same, though he smiled sheepishly while I wiggled my fingers in a wave.

Then, as a bullet shell dropped, all the soldiers broke out into a loud battle cry, rushin' forward to attack. Oh shell. Donnie quickly went to the control panel, hackin' into the system to shut the doors as they began to shoot at us, and I used my shell for protection.

Irritation dug it's way on my face as I slowly stood back up, glaring daggers at my dorky brother. We all stared at him while he had tha' nerve to nervously laugh, liftin' a hand as he pointed a finger in the air and admitted, "Not the elevator,"

"Nope," Leo deadpanned as I grumbled, "No shit,"

Donnie was giving us a bashful half-smile as we glared at him — minus Mikey — before he motioned for us to go in the opposite direction, hopefully the right way this time.
