Chapter 7 - I'm glad you came

Charlotte's P.O.V

Nathan can get jealous easily.

I don't want to give Austin problems.

So I stayed quietly not answering Nathan's question...

"I said, who was that guy?" He said with no emotion in his face.

"He... uh..."

"He...?" He said raising one eyebrow.

"He... uh... he just brought me back here. Yeah, that's all."

"I know you so well. When you are lying you get so nervous."

"It's not a lie Nathan."

"It is."

"It's not."

"Ugh. Can I just go to my room?"

"No yet."

"What you want?" I was irritated at this point. Sometimes he acts like my dad.

"Where have you been?"

"I went to..."

"Where?"

"The tree house."

"Wait. Our tree house? The one that-"

"Yes. That house. The one where we spent most of our time before, exactly three years ago. Remember?"

"Why can't you let go the past?"

"Well it seems that you forget everything so fast huh? The same way you forgot about me."

"How many times I need to say I'm sorry?"

"It's just a word. Words can't fix hearts, plus you don't mean it..."

"I mean it Charlotte! You just can't see it! I love you. I'm sorry for everything I did. Why can't you just forgive me? Just let go the past..."

"It's not that easy to let go. Like I said before, you changed me. You know, this Charlotte is not the same she was three years ago." I said once again feeling the tears coming out.

"Charlotte... I-"

"You know... Some people say they'll never leave someone and some how they always do. Just like you did. I'm always left... everyone suddenly leaves me. Like you, my old friends, even my parents."

"I nev-"

"I'm not done..."

I took a deep breath.

"It's amazing how someone who used to make me so happy... can suddenly make me want to cry."

"That's why you need to give me another chance. So I can make you happy again."

"I-I don't know."

He walked close to me and put a hand on my cheek.

Wiping the tears with his thumb.

"Please..." He whispered.

"Give me some time."

"I'll wait for you. No matter how many time it takes. I'm not going to give up, not that easy." 

I went to my room.

Nathan's P.O.V

All I wanted to do was to run and hug her.

But stupid jealously...

She asked for time.

Of course I said yes.

and I'm going to wait, no matter all the time it takes.

Charlotte went to her room.

I guess she's taking a shower now.

I need to do something.

I want to surprise her.

I'm going to start to win her heart.

I just need some help...

I'm going to call Kelsey and Nareesha!

Charlotte's P.O.V 

 I took a shower.

I went out of the bathroom to find...

The room full of flowers?

I walked to the bed and saw a note:

"I know you like flowers!

Put this dress.

I'm waiting for you outside:)" 

Should I go?

I don't want to be rude... so... I'm going.

I put the drees and some makeup.

I went outside to find more flowers and a table with candles.

Let me be honest... everything was looking amazing.

I saw another note on the table:

"I'm glad you came!

You look so beautiful.

Now turn around:)" 

I turned around and saw Nathan in his suit with roses in his hands.

God. He was looking so cute!

Wait. What? I said that?

"You came." He said smiling.

"Yes.."

"Well, I made dinner for us!"

We were talking about when we were at school.

But not touching the topic of when we were a couple. 

Most talking about our school mates, our teachers and stuff like that. 

It was really nice talking like that again.

Like... friends.

Without talking about the past.

Just enjoying the moment.

"So.. you liked the dinner?" Nathan asked.

"Yeah, I didn't knew you could cook that well!"

"Well, lets say its one of my secret skills."  

We both laughed.

"Charlotte?"

"Yeah?"

"Um, thank you for taking time and think about the second chance."

I just half-smiled.

"I have a question for you."

"Yeah?"

"Can we... uh... be friends? So we can spend moments like this while you take time for your decision."

"No drama?"

He chuckled. "You're right, no drama."

"Then its a yes!" 

We both smiled.

Our eyes were locked by a few seconds.

"It's late..." I said.

"Yeah, we should go to sleep."

"Yeah we should."

"Well, lets go."

"Nathan?"

"Yes?"
