Chapter 10 Family

(Andrea's POV)

Once Crixus had gone, I ran up to the room where I had been staying

I quickly grabbed some of Crixus' clothes and stuffed it into a duffle bag that I had found in a closet

"What are you doing?" I heard my brother come from behind me

"Leaving" I said

"Andrea, you can't keep doing this" he told me

"Doing what?" I asked, walking past him and putting more clothes in the bag

"Running away. Its what you do best. When things get rocky, you run" he told me, pointing an accusing finger at me

I stopped what I was doing and turned around

"Are you serious?" I asked him

He didn't say anything

"I run when things get rocky?" I asked, dropping my bag and walking closer to him

He didn't say anything, he just looked at me with a straight face

"How dare you? I was stuck in that place for you. I put up with all those men....for you. I suffered all those nights for you and now you have the audacity to get angry at me for running?" I shouted, pushing him back

My voice slowly got louder, until I was yelling

"I never asked you to do that" he told me

I scoffed and rolled my eyes

"You're right, you didn't. I was stupid to believe that you would understand" I whispered

"Understand what?" He asked

"That we are family and family don't need to ask for help, we just know! But I think I that finally understand. It wasn't you who needed my help, it was me. I needed you, but you didn't come for me. Not when I truly needed you" I said and grabbed my bag

He didn't say anything, he just stayed silent, with his eyebrows frowned

"Where are you going?" He asked

"I don't know" I told him, trying to bit back my tears

I was breathing heavily, my chest rising and falling rapidly

"Andrea, please don't go" he begged me, reaching out for my hand

"You turned your back on me once, now it's my turn. You can either come with me or wait until father finds you and dags you back to that hell hole" I told him

Andrew's voice cracked and he started crying

"Andrea...Andy... Crixus will protect us" he told me

"No he won't!" I yelled, turning around and running towards him

I pushed my hands against his chest, making him stumble backwards

"Wake up Andrew, he left. I told him, not even half of what they did to me and he couldn't handle it. What do you think he would have done if I told him that our mom was dad's sister? That incest runs in the family. That dad isn't only our father but our uncle. What will he do when he finds out that our lives are even more fucked up then he thought?" I asked him, still yelling

He stayed silent, not saying anything

"Exactly, if you want to stay and be humiliated, then do so, but I'm not waiting to have my heart broken, because that is what he is going to do, he is going to break our hearts and you know it" I told him and grabbed my bag

I stopped at the door of my bedroom and turned my face

"I love you little brother, I will always love you, but I won't be hurt because of you again...never again" I said and walked out

I walked down the stairs and to the front door. I waited for a moment, silently begging that he would run out of the room and come to me. But there was nothing. I opened the door and started walking out

"Wait" I heard my brother's deep and familiar voice

I stopped walking, not turning around

"I'm younger than you by 2 minutes" he told me

I couldn't help but smile

"You're still my little brother" I said

"Always" he told me

"Always"

"Let's go" he said

I nodded my head and extended my hand to him

"Let's go"

(Crixus' POV)

I ran throught the woods, trying to get back home

There were rouges everywhere

They were surrounding us

I shouldn't have left Andrea and Andrew by themselves, especially when they confided something so personal and heartbreaking to me

I mean I'm the one who pushed them to tell me

How could I be so self-centered to just walk away?

'Alpha, they are everywhere' I heard Gabriel in my head

'Get all the women and children out of the territory' I commanded as I ran

'It's too late for that, the rouges are surrounding us' he told me

'Get them into the pack house. Any males from the ages 20 and up, can fight, the others go with their mothers' I told him

'Yes alpha' he said

'Gabe?' I asked, feeling my heart pound against my chest

'Yes' he asked

'Check on Andrea and Andrew. I'm on my way, but you are closer to them' I said

'Yes alpha' I heard him say

I was about 10 minutes away from the pack house, when Gabriel got back to me

'Alpha' He asked

'Are they alright?' I asked him

He didn't say anything

'Gabriel?' I asked sternly

'They are gone' he said to me
