NICKI'S P.O.V
I sit in the court room with my lawyer Duane Dallas, my manager Gee Roberson, my friend Sharika and Shanell
Across from me on the other side of the court room is Ray with his lawyer Xavier Eason
We havent talked since the day of the incident all we do is just look at each other but pretend not too when the other one does. If the case is won by me that means I get a restraining order on Ray and finally me and Safaree can be together but if Ray wins it looks like Im gonna be stuck with him
After 5 minutes of waiting and getting ready Safaree finally arrives
He walks in with woman light in complexion with dark wavy hair and green eyes. She walked in smiling and shaking hands with people showing off her white teeth
Then they finally came over to us
" Nic hey" Safaree says drawing me into a hug
I hug him back in relief
" Im so happy you made it" I say
" I'd like you too meet my lawyer" He says as his lawyer walks over
" Hi Im Vallia Joyce" She introduces herself
The way she said her name made her sound Spanish
" Your Spanish" I ask
" Yeah my Mom is from Puerto Rico and my Father is from the Bahamas" She says " By the way Im a huge fan" She smiles
" Oh thank you" I reply
She leaves to go and start sorting her papers out
" You like her" Safaree asks
" Yeah I love her accent"
" I think shes right for me and I think shes really into me" He says
" How can you tell"
" Promise me you wont say a word but she took me back to her flat a few days ago and we made out and ever since then we love each other to bits I mean shes nothing compared to Carly I actually think we have a bright future ahead of us" He says
" Safaree are you crazy" I say trying not to yell " You fuck a woman in bed on the same day you met I mean you dont even know her background"
" Come on Nic dont you want me too be happy? if it turns out that shes some kind of prostitute then I owe you something" He laughs
" Safaree Im not kidding what if she has std or something"
" Stop worrying bout shit like that Nic" He says " Lets first worry about winning this case ok" He says kissing my forehead
I have to say Im kind of jealous of this girl Vallia. She pretty, she has a nice skin tone, her hair is gorgeous and her figure is too die for. I didnt think Safaree would ever have another girl friend since Carly. I thought that if we won the case that me and him could finally be together
" Nic you ok" He asks
" Yeah Im fine" I say a bit agitated
He looks at me with a face begging me too to tell him whats wrong but I cant in case its makes him upset. If loose the case he can just go off with Vallia and leave me with Ray
CASE BEGINS
" Mr Smith, do you confess to the beating of Ms Maraj?" The judge asks
" Yes I do" Ray replys
" Would you like to explain why you did it?" He asks
" It started off as an argument" He starts
" About what?" The judge asks
" Well she has been seeing that guy over there behind my back" He points to Safaree " I dont know when it started or where they did it but whenever they are together they laugh, smile and hug each other" He says
" Well Ms Maraj what do you have to say to that?" The jugde asks
" All I have.........."
" Well if Mr Smith is accusing Ms Maraj and Mr Samuels of having an affair" Vallia interrupts Nic " Then I would like to know how come Mr Smith keeps his door and windows padlocked whenever he leaves for work, so that means Ms Maraj can not leave the house, or why he doesnt allow Ms Maraj to have a mobile phone or to have any acquaintances"
Everyone turns and looks at Ray
" Mr Smith can you answer that question?" The judge asks
" I do that because I was suspicious of her behavior whenever I let her out of the house" He replys
" When she decided to buy a tv and a phone to keep her busy cause all she ever does is clean and prepare food for you. Even she decided to break your rule and make a few friends you dont have any evidence of her having an affair with Mr Samuels or do you?" Vallia asks
Ray doesnt answer but stays quiet
END OF COURT CASE
" Ms Maraj you are now free from the marriage to Mr Smith and have a restraining order agaginst him" The Jugde says
We stand up and shake hands as the Court case ends
I thank my lawyer and my manger and my friends for getting me through this
I turn and see Safaree heading over to me happy
" Well done Nic we won" Safaree says giving me a big hug
But I resfuse to hug him back because I am afraid of what is going to happen next. Theres no way he wouldnt go back to his life with Vallia
" Whats wrong? you cant hug your best friend back anymore" He jokes
I dont find it funny but I dont realize when a tear escapes from my eye
" Aww your crying tears of joy" He says getting me wrong " Really tell me whats bothering you"
" I-I-It doesnt matter" I stutter
" You ready Sharika" I call to her
We get our bags and head out of the court
" Hey Nic wait" Safaree calls after me
I look back at him once but I turn and just walk away

I KNOW THAT WAS A RUBBISH COURT SCENE BUT I DONT STUDY LAW OR KNOW MUCH ABOUT IT OR WATCH MUCH ABOUT IT ( EXCEPT JUDGE JUDY CAUSE I LOVE IT)
