This story is about a girl named Iris Ayers. Her mother and father died one day, coming from a friend's wedding. Iris thinks it's her fault that they died because she wasn't grateful enough. She was then taken in by Elaine Saller, the school's bad boy's mom. That adds on to her problem that she has at school, bullying. How is she going to survive being bullied and living with the schools bad boy?
