FIVE YEARS LATER - No One's POV

It's been five years, and the characters in the story have finally settled down.

Sabay sabay silang nag graduate na magkakaibigan and now, they're all leading successful careers.

Jeroam pursued his culinary career, he worked in Italy for a couple years at nakapagpatayo siya ng isang authentic Italian restaurant pag uwi niya sa Pinas.

Nick, Jake, and Aiden became successors of their family's businesses. Although, medyo nag alinlangan ang mga magulang nila dahil na rin sa kalokohan nila, pero naging successful din naman silang tatlo.

Andrew and Luke are both successful architects and have already started their business as a team.

Peach has his own clothing line AND isa siya sa mga head chefs sa restaurant na ipinatayo ni Jeroam.

Jillian, Mae, and Kim are business partners. They opened up a clothing store that has almost twenty branches all over Pinas.

Of course, Kuya James and Ate Anna have finally tied the knot and have adopted a cute little boy named Justin na halos ka-edad na rin Lucas who just turned eight. He's already in grade two and he's proven his intelligence at a young age, of course he's still as bubbly like his Mom.

Despite leading busy lives, they still manage to get together once a week at their new spot- Jeroam's restaurant. Oo tumanda na nga sila, pero mga kalokohan nila? Walang pinagbago.

"Na-miss ko kayo! Pagod na pagod na ako sa buhay ko!" Nick

"Nandito lang kami sa tabi mo pare, di mo kailangan sumigaw." Jake

"Ang tanda niyo na, para pa rin kayong mga bata." Aiden

"Wow, nagsalita yung isa jan." Jeroam

"Maiba nga tayo, Nathan pare, limang taon na nakalipas di ka pa rin nakakabuo?" Nick

"Tss!"

"Baka naman puro trabaho ka lang." Aiden

"Hindi rin, baka mahina lang talaga si- ARAY!" Di na natapos ni Jake yung sasabihin niya dahil binatukan na siya ni Nathan.

"If I have another kid, sagot mo binyag ng anak ko." Nathan

"Deal." Jake

"Aba! Bigatin!" Jeroam

"Paano niya masasagot Nathan? Eh yung kinikita niya ata sa trabaho dumidiretso sa asawa niya."

Isang taon mahigit na ring kasal sila Jake at Mae.

"Ako bahala Nathan, basta pag nakabuo ka, sagot ko binyag ng inaanak ko!" Jake

"And you," he pointed to Jeroam, "sagot mo first birthday niya."

"Ako talaga? Sige ba! Sagot na namin ni Jill."

Jill and Jeroam have been married for two years.

"Kami? Ano sa amin?" Nick

"Sinama mo pa ako." Aiden

"Ano? Second and third birthday?" Nick

Natawa naman sila, "sagot niyo gagastusin namin sa hospital pati na rin sa nursery."

"Aba! Planadong planado na ah."

"Sa ating lahat, ikaw yung pinakamayaman, tapos kami pa pag gagastusin mo?"

Natawa naman si Nathan, "you need to be practical nowadays."

"Mae!" Aiden

"Oh?"

"Narinig mo yun ah, sagot niyo daw binyag ng second baby ni Kim at Nathan!"

"Bakit? Buntis ba si Kim? Kim, buntis kaba?" Mae

Nagulat naman si Kim, "hindi?"

Natawa naman silang lahat, kararating lang din kasi ni Kim galing siyang banyo kaya di niya alam kung san nang galing yung tanong na yun.

Kim and Nathan shared a look na hindi naman napansin ng mga kaibigan nila, there was another important reason kung bakit mahalaga itong pagkikita nila ngayon. They were keeping a secret na ngayon lang nila babanggitin sa mga kaibigan nila.

"Uy Kim, problema mo?" Mae

"Huh?"

"Tititigan mo nalang pagkain mo? Ganun?"

"Parang mas masarap kasi ngayon ang bulalo at giniling."

They all looked at her weirdly, "bulalo tsaka giniling? Okay ka lang?"

"Weirdest combo ever." Peach

"Parang kahapon lang, nakaubos ka ng tatlong plato ng spaghetti dito."

"Ewan ko ba! Iba yung gusto 'kong kainin."

"Arte!" Peach

Nathan couldn't help but smile, he knew exactly why his wife was feeling this way.

"Wait lang..." Peach "Last week you were eating an apple na sinawsaw sa toyo tsaka alamang."

"Ew!"Nick

"Holy sh*t, buntis ka noh?!" Jill

Napangiti si Kim at Nathan, "three months na ngayon actually."

There was a question Nathan asked himself during their first night living together. He was unsure then and quite pissed at his parents, he was happy with the life he had and everything suddenly changed.

Yet he felt secured for some reason, content even.

He was happy with her. But one question lingered, one question he couldn't answer before:

"If you're happy with her, what makes you think you'll be happy for the rest of your life?"

Each day he spent with her, the answer became clearer. Every day he lays his eyes on her, when he sees her smile, when she talks to him, hell even when she argues with him. The answer became easier and easier to answer.

Yes. Yes he is happy and he will be for the rest of his life. As a matter of fact, he was beyond grateful. He's happy that he gets to spend the rest of his life with this amazing girl by his side. His life before was a complete mess, he made bad decisions and hurt a lot of people. He didn't feel anything inside, in a way he knew, that he was an empty hole and when he met Kim, it changed completely. She was his eye-opener, she made him want to be a better person. He's beyond blessed with the life he has now, it was unexpected, yes. But he wouldn't change it for the world.

In the end, it is true that you do not love someone because they're perfect. You love them in spite of the fact that they are not.
