Lilly's p.o.v

Me and my family have such a great relationship now that my secret is out to them. I'm always receiving hugs and kisses at home and at the school sometimes when my girls come to visit me. I've actually started to have lunch with my girls and that just brings a huge smile on my face. Of course, my kids want me to show them everything that I can do but there are things that I won't show them because it's the darker side of being a witch. Whenever my kids don't behave now or they fight, I throw a water ball at them and it's made to be quite handy. My kids fight still but they do it quietly so that their witchy mom won't hear.

John is such a happy guy because we haven't worried too much about Taylin and if she has the witch gene. We had to cancel the appointment with the werewolf specialist because of a pack meeting. My nieces youngest kid, Avery, had told everyone that she found her mate and we all got to meet him. He's a lovely guy, he really is and even stood up to Zevandra and Zachary when they were making fun of his mate. Avery is one lucky girl to have him as a mate. He was so protective of her, keeping her within an arm length and always watching out for people heading towards her or someone he thought was a threat. We got to meet his family, too. They were just as nice as him and even seemed to be like second parents to Avery. Of course, her mom, Haley had tears in her face when Avery announced her great news to us all.

I couldn't help but think about Taylin's mate. Did she even have one or would she have to be old fashioned and find love on her own? I know that I have no problem with either one but I'm just curious. She has been a little jumpy when you talk to her sometimes. It's as if she is thinking really hard and we break her out of her thoughts. I will discuss that later but right now I am enjoying the company and how wonderful my kids are being with me. I know it won't last long and that we will be back to bickering and slamming doors but I just want to enjoy it while it lasts. I want my kids to be comfortable with me being a witch and most of all I want Taylin to be comfortable with the idea that she could be a witch.

"Hey, Mom," Taylin and Carmen said, smiling brightly as they walked into my classroom with their lunches that I 'packed' this morning. I really just put lunch-ables in their bags.

"Hey, girls," I said and we all sat in a circle with our lunches in front of us. "So how are your classes going?" Taylins cheeks tinged pink and I smiled a little. I remember that feeling when my mom would ask a question and I would think of my mate and my cheeks would turn red. Oh my lord! I think she found her mate.

"Good, I guess," Taylin mumbled and I smiled brighter and looked at Carmen who was looking at her, confused.

"It's going great. I got an A on my math test today," Carmen said.

"Oh that's great, sweetie," I said and looked back at Taylin. "So, Tay, nothing interesting happened today?"

"Nope," she said and kept her head down, not looking at me at all. I was about to mention her mate but a knock on the door made us all look up.
