*Author's Note* Hey Steph here again, thanks for the reads on the first chapter :)

I hope more people decide to read it because that would just make me soooooooo happy!

Anyway here's the second chapter, hope you like it :)

P.S This is kinda of what I imagined Canistra looked like, the last chapter had Shadow.

“So what happened last night?” My best friend Victoria asked me the next day, her shoulder-length caramel hair was tucked into a neat bun on top of her head and held in place with dozens of bobby-pins, she had always been abnormally taller than everyone else, her green eyes were always bright and full of life and energy. “You didn’t call me like you said you would.” She said as we walked to school, her grey school skirt was flowing behind her in the light wind but didn’t fly up too high, she was a professional at keeping her skirt down after an incident two years ago when it flew up and a few guys saw her underwear so she slapped him across the face. She had her blue school blouse buttoned up except for the one top button and her black ballet flats and white socks tied her uniform together in a great way. She always looked good in anything she wore, even if it first thing in the morning and she was wearing pyjamas; it usually made me jealous of her.

“Uh… Sorry something came up.” I said eyeing the trees and bushes knowing that my protector was watching me, somehow, I could see her there, mostly her eyes and then the outline of her body came after.

I was wearing the same clothes and Victoria was but instead I had a pair of white and black joggers on my feet and a pair of grey pants on, I had always been more of the sporty type than the make-up girl; I liked dirt rather than eye shadow.

“What’s the matter with you lately? You just seem so distracted. Are you alright? Do you feel sick?” Victoria asked stopping and looking worried, she put the back of her hand on my head to test my temperature, making me jump slightly at how cold her hand was against my forehead. Sometimes I felt like she was my second mother.

“No, no I’m ok. I do kind of feel a little bit sick but I’ll see how I go at school.” I said looking at her with reassurance as I smacked her hand away and rolled my eyes. She was always way too worried about me; probably a habit from all the baby sitting she did for her sister’s kids.

“Ok well if you say so.” She said not sounding convinced, it was a little annoying how she could tell when I was lying. I nodded and we continued walking to school, there were other people walking too, some by themselves but most in either pairs of groups; around here no one liked walking around by themselves.

“I’m fine Vic.” I assured her, I felt sick to my stomach when I lied to her and the guilt was stabbing at my stomach but I had to push it to the back of my mind.

“Ok everyone, so today we are going to find out who will be your new captain for this year.” The cheerleading captain said as I walked past her with Victoria, Caitlin and Naomi. Her squad sat before her, she was leaving this year and a new leader had to be voted in, they were all wearing the same types of outfits, the girls wore dark blue and red skirts and swirled shirts that showed off their stomachs with those skimpy little shorts under their skirts and white joggers. The few guys that were there wore the same coloured, short-sleeved shirts and long pants with joggers.

“What is it with cheerleaders? They think that just because they get to stand on the track at games they are more important than everyone else. And did you notice that they are mostly all blondes?” Caitlin said as we walked. Caitlin was small and a little plump, her face was splattered with freckles and her cheeks still had a little baby-fat that made them look so adorable, her skin was quite pale and her eye were a dull muddy brown colour that matched her hair perfectly.
