"See. The ones where you're laughing look so much cuter." Eben pointed out.
"Thanks, Eben." I smiled, putting my phone back in my pocket, "I'm glad we've come on this walk. I didn't even know this bit existed."
"Neither, to be honest." Eben shrugged, "We've spoken so much about if Jack and Corbyn are ok, but what about you?" There was silence and I looked down at my feet as we walked, "You... you don't have to say anything."
"No, no. I'm sorry." I shook my head, "I don't really know. At first, I was crushed. And I still am. But now, it feels like something that needed to happen."
"What do you mean?" Eben asked.
"Like... what if this is the universe telling me that me that this relationship with Corbyn is doomed." I sighed. Eben bit his lip.
"As much as I feel sorry for Jack... I mean, things haven't exactly been going his way lately." He said, "But I don't think you should let something like this get in the way. I mean, if every couple broke up after a turn in the relationship, I doubt we'd be here today."
"I guess you're right." I shrugged, "But can we still walk for a bit? I'm not ready to face them just yet."
"Totally." Eben smiled, putting a friendly arm around me.

"Sorry, didn't see you there." I purposely bumped into Jack and he struggled to keep all his food on his plate. He stood up straight and glared at me.
"So you punch me in the face and now you're pissing me off?" Jack asked, "That doesn't seem fair, does it?"
"What doesn't seem fair is the fact you've messed up my relationship with Lana." I took a step towards him.
