Chapter 7: The Internet

Melissa's POV
I can't believe it's already the end of September, I feel like it was just yesterday since I started my first day of real school, that I met two of my coolest friends from it.

Today, was officially the end of my grounding sentences, yess!!! I have been grounded for way too long, plus I miss my phone. It felt so good to see fresh air again.

Okay maybe I was going over the top, because my parents did let me leave the house with them to help them out at the restaurant during my sentence. But on the bright side my birthday next month and I'm turning 13 and I can't get into anymore trouble until then.

We just recently celebrated Nick and Danielle's birthday together this year and it was pretty cool even tho I was grounded most of the time. Plus, mom and dad did say I could have fun since I haven't seen Kevin and his family in a while.

Anyways enough about what I have been doing, let's get on to what's happening now!

I was so happy to have my phone in my hand again. I did a Instagram video, showing my fans I had my phone back.

Harley came and see what I was doing and I told her I was making videos for my Tik Tok. She wanted to join and we had so much fun making a bunch of content for my fans.

The Next Day, I woke up and yawn and strength. I picked up my phone and went to do some lurking, I took a look at my Instagram, but when I went to sign in, it wouldn't let me in. Huh? That strange, I hope nobody hacked my phone.

The only people that knows my passwords are my brothers and my parents, because of the Instagram incident with the binki. I checked my twitter and I noticed it was gone too. What the hell?!

I got out of my bed and headed down the stairs and went to go ask my parents if they knew what was wrong with my all my social media's, and I froze when I saw all three of my brothers sitting on the couch together.

Melissa: hi boys... what are you 3 doing home together, it isn't a holiday? *hugs each of them*
Joe: we know, we needed to talk to you
Melissa: does mom and dad know you guys are here?
Joe: yes, we told them to go out to brunch with Dani, Alena, and Valentina while we had a talk with you
Melissa *sits down on the other empty chair* good because I need to talk to you guys too.
Joe: what?
Melissa: have any of you three been messing with my social media. I went to logged on it today, but it went missing. My Instagram was gone, my twitter was gone and so was my Tik Tok
Joe: that's what we wanted to talk to you about, all three of us
Melissa: *gasp* was I hacked? Did they post anything inappropriate
Kevin: no... but you did it again
Melissa: me? What did I do?
Nick: those Tik Tok videos you have been doing, were very inappropriate for your age
Melissa: what? But I was careful...
Joe: twerking is being careful? What the hell is a 12 year old doing shaking their butt on the internet?
Melissa: I'm sorry, I didn't know it was a bad thing. It was a popular thing and everyone was doing it
Kevin: and you thought it would be a good idea to do it as well? Do you know how many inappropriate things people been saying online about you? You're 12?! You shouldn't be shaking your ass to anyone online
Melissa: I'm sorry it was mistake. I promise to not do it again please!!! Can I-have my social media back?
JB: No!
Joe: Melissa... we have given you so many chances and you won't listen to us. So for now on, no more twitter, no more Instagram, no more Tik Tok, and there's no way in hell you're getting YouTube channel after this . You're grounded from social media
Nick: and to make sure you don't have social media again, I will be needing your phone back
Melissa: nnnnoooo!!! Please Nick, pleaseee! You got me this as Christmas gift—remember when mom and dad said I was too young to have one...
Nick: yeah and I made a mistake doing that. They were right, you were not being mature about the phone
Melissa: please... how am I supposed to contact you guys?
Joe: by this

The boys took out the flip phone and I look at them like they were crazy.

Melissa: really a flip phone? Nobody uses these anymore
Joe: too bad, this phone has text limit and internet. If we can trust you with this phone, we will think about giving you your phone back
Melissa: this is totally unfair!
Joe: think of this as punishment for breaking our rules about the internet
Melissa: *sighs* yes sir
Nick: phone
Melissa: *bends down in front of Nick* Nick pleaseeeee think about this, do you really want your baby sister to be seen in public with that thing?

I said pointing to the flip phone that Joe has in his hand.

Nick: sorry but I don't listen to my sister that post inappropriate things online. Hand over the phone...

I frown and sigh and took out my phone from behind my phone pocket.

Melissa: can I please say my last words to it?
Nick: fine, but hurry it up
Melissa: you have to go away now phone. I don't know when I will see you again from the three monsters that are trying to steal you away from the princess, who is really, really sorry by the way, and I-
Joe: oh give it up already Mel
Melissa: don't interrupt me, this is a funeral for my phone, who knows when I will get it back again. Let me pay my respect Joseph

Joe gave me a look and I smile innocently at him and said.

Melissa: please?
Joe: fine... as long as you call them monsters and not me
Nick/Kevin: hey!
Melissa: sorry phone, I was rudely interrupted by Joe and the monsters who I call brothers.
Joe: that's much better
Nick/Kevin: *roll eyes*
Melissa: *roll eyes* I promise we will reunite again soon. Alright, take it I'm done, I don't want to look at it anymore
Nick: yeah, you definitely need a break from this phone *takes the phone*
Melissa: bye baby, I'll miss you! I should name it Ruby, oh hell its too late to name the phone anyways *cross arm*
Joe: and here's your new phone
Melissa: *fakes smiles and grabs the phone* perfect, just what I needed a flip phone
Joe: enjoy *smirks*

The rest of the family came back after the boys helped me set up my ugly new phone, and I said to dad.

Melissa: daddy! How can you let these boys take away my phone like this?
Dad: oh so no good morning, or how was your morning?
Melissa: you left me this morning with them without me, so you don't deserve a good morning
Dad: sorry honey, but the boys handles all your social media's and paid for your phone. They trusted you with the internet and you let them down
Melissa: so you're taking their side! I thought I was your little princess *pouts*
Dad: my little princess doesn't twerk online for the whole internet to see, it was either that or a whooping from me. But the boys suggested this and I agreed with it
Melissa: *cross arm and mumbles* I would have rather had that spanking instead
Dad: what?
Melissa: nothing... At least I still have a phone
Dad: oh yeah the flip phone, they told me about that too
Melissa: what?! You could have given your little girl the heads up? I could have ran away with it this morning
Dad: over my dead body
Melissa: mom!
Mom: sorry sweetheart, but I'm staying out of this
Melissa: Dani?
Dani: don't even turn to me

I pouted and said to them all.

Melissa: I hate all of you!
Joe: since you hate all of us, I can have the phone back, so you don't get a phone at all

I "ugh!" ignoring Joe and stomped up the stairs and slammed my bedroom door annoyed.

Back downstairs.
Dad: *to Denise* now can I spank her now?
Mom: here's your granddaughter, give grandpa the biggest smile

Valentina giggles at her grandfather and that soften him up a bit and he took her from his wife and kiss her cheek.

Dad: I love you baby, stay little like this as long as you can, don't grow up
Kevin: boy dad, I wish it was that easy. *holding Alena* Soon this little one gonna be starting Kindergarten (a/n: it's true, she's starting kindergarten now in 2019 😭, it's 2017 in my story)
Dad: why can't they all stay little like this *frowns*

Chapter End Notes:
Poor Papa J. He hates seeing his little girl mad at him and growing up so fast. You guys think the boys did the right thing by taking away her phone and internet? Will Melissa ever get her phone back? Find out what happens next, next chapter. I know I have been writing this story a lot, but literary this is my favorite story I have written and I have so many ideas for it. But I don't want to waste all my ideas or I'm gonna end up writers block.
