"Happy Birthday, Daddy!" Cher, Xavier, Janet, and Nicolas yelled.

I woke up. They were all on the bed trying to wake me up. I smiled thinking of this day. When I was 17 on this very day Ashton asked me to be his boyfriend. I said yes. We had a very happy time together. And then everything went down hill the next year.

But I'm not going to think of the bad things right now. Instead I'm going to think of the amazing things that happened in my life.
"Hey guys. What do you have planned for me?" I asked as I got out of bed.

"We made you these cards." the youngest of my adopted my children, Nicolas and Janet, said. They handed me some cards with stick figures of the whole family. Me being extremely tall.

"Thanks guys. I love them. What about you two?" I asked the eldest.

"Oh we made you a DVD. It's in the DVD player out in the living room. Dad was
making you breakfast." Cher answered

"Okay. Let's go then." I said as I walked towards the door.

The living room had pictures hanged from the top. I looked at the pictures, there were ones when I was 17, others when Ashton and I first dated, the place of our first date, then the one at the ending of the row where from more recent events.

"Who put this together?" I asked, I think I asked more questions this morning than I have this whole year.

"Xavier." Cher answered.

I looked over at my 14 year old son. I gave him a hug and a smile.

"Let's watch it." I said

"Where's Dad?" Cher asked

"He should be around here..." Nicolas said

"DAD!" Janet yelled.

Some footsteps were heard and tripping. So I knew for sure that was Ashton.

"Here!" he yelled as he walked into the living room.

I turned around to find him wearing the same thing he wore when we first started dating. I was surprised that they still fit him. Since its been years since that happened.

"Let's watch the video, shouldn't we?" He asked

"Yeah we should." I said

Cher pressed the play button. The video started playing. Right away I knew the name of the song.

"He was working at the record shop

I would kiss him in the parking lot

Those lyrics. Those lyrics bring back the most memories a song can bring. It's been 24 years. And I still listen to that same song.

The first photo was when Ashton and I first met. We met during preschool. I smiled. That day was super awkward. I hated people during that time, but Ashton loved people. I still do by the way.

The whole video was full of pictures of me and Ashton. When we were friends, then boyfriends, and now husbands. Everything started out when I was 17. And I would change a thing.

Those days are long gone, but I will always love Ashton.

"I loved it." I said

"Just like I love you." Ashton said.

"Yeah." I responded.

But when I hear this song it takes me back....

So this is finally over. So there's no sequel :'(. I don't feel the need for one. There could be one, but it would be about Luke's life without Ashton. In other words the 5 years. Not sure if I should make it or not. Comment if yes.
