the stranger I once loved
brown hair slicked back
shy smile, freshly shaved
I never thought I'd see you again
I stared at the beauty you once engraved
upon the earth you lay my heart
loved another, til we depart
tears dripped as you walked away
stains left on my face
a memory of you
cherished forever
as you sit there, loving another
