It's been a month.
A month? you may say.
Isn't that too short to have feelings?
I would say, you are indeed correct.
But have you experienced those late night phone calls? Or him falling asleep in your arms? Have you memorized the taste of lips or the feeling of his hands brushing into your hair.
Of course you didn't love him, you may say. You would be correct as well. I didn't love him, but I saw something in him, something I hadn't seen in awhile. Hope. For once I felt special. For once I felt cared about. For once, for that to come crashing down.
I liked him.
