“Oh! We're halfway there! Oh! Livin' on a prayer!” (Y/N) watches in amusement as her older brother is singing at the top of his lungs, using a brush as his mic and his bed as his stage
“Niall, what are you doing?” (Y/N) chuckles as she turned the music off
“Hey! That was the best part (Y/N).” He said going down to the bed
“It's too noisy for my liking.” She said as she sits down on the floor
It was a Friday night and every Friday it is Niall's 'concert'. (Y/N) is 6 years old and Niall is 9. They play music through tapes that there Uncle collected and gave it to Niall for his 7th birthday.
“It's called rock and roll!” Niall said
“Well I like it when you play this.” She said standing up, getting his acoustic guitar that there dad bought
“I only know a few songs, and dad has no time to teach me right now, he said he's busy.” Niall sighed putting the guitar back at the corner of his room
“He's been busy ever since we moved here in London.” She said lying on the hardwood floor
They moved to London because his dad got fired and was transferred to another company. But there dad isn't working there permanently. After 3 months, he lost his job and now working as a night guard in a national museum.
“Yeah, I know. But he's working for us, (Y/N).” Niall said, at a very young age, he understood adult problems
“Well I miss spending time with him.” She pouted bringing her knees towards her chin
“Hey, you got me. I can accompany you while Dad is busy.” He said comforting her sister
“Will you like to play barbie dolls with me?” She asked her eyes lighting up
“Sure.”
“And build a fort?” She smiled
“Of course.”
“Promise?”
“Promise. Pinky swear?” He said raising his pinky finger
She felt hope just by looking at his brother's eyes. She knew that everything will be alright when she has his brother.
“Pinky swear.” She smiled and hugged him very tight
Until they grew older, they both got each others back. They did everything together. Niall has always been the best big brother to her little sister. He never wants her sad and lonely. He always finds a way to make her happy through her darkest hours.
