Niall offered to do the grocery shopping with your 5 year old son at Target today because you weren't feeling well. You have been sick for two days now.
"Here's the list babe. Just call me if you need me alright?" You said giving him a list of the things you wanted them to buy
"Don't worry, babe. Me and Aiden can handle this. Get some sleep while we are gone." He said before giving you a peck on the forehead
"And Aiden be a good boy to daddy." You said to your 5 year old son
"Yes, mommy." He said "I'm always a good boy, don't worry about me." He giggled giving you a cheeky smile
"Just like Niall." You thought to yourself
Niall's POV
"Now what is the first thing on the list buddy?" I asked Aiden while looking at the list (Y/N) gave me "Orange." I answered to myself while going to the aisle of fruits
It's been 30 minutes and the cart is almost halfway full.
"Daddy, I wanna go down." Aiden pouted lifiting his arms at me so I can get him down
"But don't go anywhere okay? You have to stay with me no matter what." I said a little bit sternly and he nodded
I carried him out of the cart and let him stand on his own chubby legs and feet "How about you help me push the cart, yeah?" Then he nodded a yes getting behind the cart with a big smile on his face
He was so adorable because he was so small and he can't even push the cart without my help. It made me smile seeing my boy being a good gentleman.
Next we went to the aisle of lady products, baby stuffs, and canned goods. And grabbed the items that (Y/N) wanted us to buy.
"Now what's next on the list, daddy?" He asked looking up to me
"You're enjoying this aren't you? I think you should do the grocery shopping next time." I chuckled to him
"Daddy I want skittles." Skittles is his favorite snack of all time, just like (Y/N).
"Okay we'll grab a pack of those after we get our cereals." I said checking a few items on the list
We walked down the aisle of cereals and grabbed a bunch of different brands. One box of cereal for (Y/N) and me, and two boxes of cereal for Aiden.
"Now for the fun part." I said while putting the boxes of cereals on the cart
Meaning it's time to grab the real goodies. Chips, chocolates and candies.
Then we pushed the cart, walking down to the aisle of candies and sweets "So which one do you like Aiden?" I asked Aiden but he was nowhere near me
"Aiden?!" I started to panic while putting back the packs of skittles and leaving the cart on the aisle
"Buddy where are you?!" I was already talking to myself, checking him on every aisle of Target
My heart is beating fast, I don't know where the heck is my son is. (Y/N) is gonna be so mad at me. I lost our son!
"Okay Niall just relax." I thought to myself while trying to breath and relax "Where could he possibly be?" I asked myself thinking where Aiden can possibly go
I went to the toy section but he wasn't there. Then I went to the refrigerator section but he wasn't there also. I'm in the verge of crying, I went back to the aisle where we left our cart to check if he went back but he didn't. I grabbed my phone on the front of my pocket and dialed (Y/N)'s number.
She wasn't answering her phone and when I dialed again, it lead to voicemail. I can feel my eyes getting watery. I don't know where my buddy is.
"Daddy?" I heard Aiden's voice ringing to my ears
I quickly turned around and it was a relief to see him standing right in front of me. I carried him to my arms and hugged him very tight.
"Are you okay daddy?" Aiden asked me and I pulled away from the hug, nodding a yes
"Where have you been?! I've been looking everywhere for you! I told you to stay with me no matter what." I scolded him putting him down
"I went to the bathroom to take a loo." He inoccently answered
"Why didn't you tell me?! I was worried sick, Aiden." I said calming down
"Well I really wanted to take a loo. I'm sorry if I didn't tell you, dad." He said in his cute baby voice
I sighed in relief and kneeled down "Don't ever do that okay? If you wanted to take a loo, you asked me alright?" He nodded "Well, let's go grab the last items on the list so we can get home and see mommy." I said sitting him back on the cart

When we got home, (Y/N) was sound asleep on the couch. Aiden and I quietly went to the kitchen to stock up the pantry and the fridge.
"Someone's home." I heard my wife said entering the kitchen "Did you have fun today, bud?" (Y/N) asked Aiden while he was sitting on the stool
"Uh-huh! Daddy bought me an ice cream as a reward for being a good boy today." He answered, then he looked at me giving me a thumbs up and I winked at him before entering the pantry.
We decided and agreed to not to tell (Y/N) about the part where I lost him for 10 minutes or else we are both screwed.
"When mommy gets better, I'm taking you to the mall to get you a new toy for being a good boy to daddy." I heard (Y/N) say
"Thank you mommy!" Aiden said excitedly
Then I heard Aiden laughing loudly
"Mommy stop!" When I got out of the pantry I saw (Y/N) attacking him with tickles
I love my family so much. I can't picture myself without them in my life. They are the most precious and the most beautiful blessing that I ever had to my entire existence.
"How are you feeling, babe? Sorry to wake you." I said to (Y/N) while she was helping me with the groceries
"You didn't wake me, babe." She said "Now that my boys are finally home, I'm feeling a lot better." She smiled at me and I swear I felt butterflies on the pit of my stomach
"I am handsome aren't I?" I jokingly said to her, even if it was a little dark inside the pantry I can still see her blushing.
"Yes you are." She chuckled patting my chest before exiting the room
"Mommy I'm hungry. What's for dinner?" Aiden asked then (Y/N) looked at me with wide eyes
And I threw my head back laughing "He is really my son." I said to her and she laughed at me
"Why are you laughing?" Aiden asked us
"You always managed to surprise me, Aiden." (Y/N) said while giving him a kiss on his chubby cheek
"Oh (Y/N) you have no idea how he surprised me back in Target." I said leaving her curious
