From England to France, Italy to Spain;
From great Sparta to exotic Japan,
They’ve always been there.
From Queen Cleopatra to Magdalene.
From Joan of Arc to poor Anne Boleyn.
They stood their ground.
How can men declare they made History?
Maybe clearly, maybe a mystery,
But she is present.
Hiding or standing, silently, or loudly
But either way, always proudly.
Yet often overlooked
Be a peasant, a fighter or a queen,
Telling tales, though condemned to be unseen.
