Rondeau - Cleopatra

Hail to the Queen, they scream with pride.

They let her pass, they step aside.

A life to rule, to dedicate;

A life of glory, love and hate.

Plenty of mystery to hide.

A Greek woman on the outside,

An Egyptian queen inside.

No words for a woman so great,

Hail to the Queen!

Of kings, she took their hearts, untied.

 She was dear, but never a bride.

First, Caesar lost his mind, too late.

Anthony met with the same fate

As she left the Earth, they all cried:

“Hail to the Queen!”
