I woke up to dulled laughter and comforting music. I think maybe it was Taylor Swift, but it was a song I hadn't heard before. I nodded my head along, liking how sweet and soft she kept her voice. She could be pitchy sometimes, but this sounded like a really good track.

I looked around me, nobody was in sight. Despite being alone, I was thankful none of them had seen me start awake from my dream. It was so dark and strange I didn't know what to make of it just yet.

What did it represent? What reason did I have to run away from my own self? Those were the questions I didn't have answers to.

I rubbed my sweaty palms together as I got up off the couch and crept around the corner, examining the area to see if it was safe before I decided to reveal myself.

Alec was munching on a pack of Cheetos as Damon rummaged through the freezer, trying to find something for dinner, I bet.

Alec didn't even turn his head as he addressed me (well, he actually said, 'Sleeping Beauty has awoken from her slumber'). Damon, on the other hand, stopped in the midst of his search and met my eyes.

     I smiled lightly.

"I had a dream." It sounded more like a question, as if I was uncertain of what I'd seen. True, I was, but I knew it was nothing more than an unconscious film.

Alec finally turned to look at me, those fathomless blue-grey eyes burning into my soul. If he wasn't such a dick I would've complimented him more.

"No Prince Charming is coming to save Beauty, it's all a lie." He said, smirking as he subdued his laugher. I rolled my eyes.

"Oh no, the illusion is shattered."

He glared as Damon chuckled, closing the freezer door and raising his eyebrows in a gesture that I go on. He checked me out as I sashayed into the kitchen, moving to the sink where the surface gleamed and dishcloths were set up in neat even piles.

He leaned back at the same time I did, drowning myself in his magnificent unidentical eyes. Usually Heterochromia can leave a person with two colors closer together, but his blue and brown clashed perfectly. If they were any different I don't think that it would've had as much effect on me as it did.

"Anyway, my dream," I said, deliberately not looking at Alec. No doubt he was scowling at me. "I was in a forest, but I felt like there was a presence with me. Then, there was this haunting laughter and I started running. I tripped at one point and when I looked up I saw that the person I was running from was... well, me." I finished with a weak shrug, exchanging a look with Damon. I hoped he could solve the problem before I freaked myself out.

The brothers stayed immobile, one of them eating chips as the other blinked uselessly at my face. If he was looking for something, then he was going to come out empty. I had nothing on this at all, and I don't think that was just the memory loss talking.

"Well?" I asked, growing anxious when a minute passed and nothing was said. They had to let me know what they were thinking, the silence was killing me.

"Paranoia maybe?" Damon said aloud, no doubt that he'd forgotten I was still in the room.

"Or it could be that other thing." Alec said, crunching on a chip.

"What thing?" I asked, though it went unheard. I rolled my eyes when they all of sudden began to talk to each other so lowly I couldn't hear. Instead, I stood by the sink, waiting for them to finish off their hypothesis as I ran out of patience.
