"This wouldn't be so hard if Ink didn't have to warn everyone about me." I mumble. I had taken the day off from the role of the destructor and instead am now heading trough the hot lands to what was the True Lab. Or at least the true lab of this universe. This was one of the first alternate universes I wasn't able to destroy due to my inexperience. It was the only one that was able to break trough the barrier. And for that I am grateful. Only because I can go through the underground with no disturbances.

When I mean by disturbances I mean people screaming about me about to murder them. But I wouldn't because there has to be creation and destruction. I am supposed to maintain balance, not completely obliterate everything. Just somethings.

Even though my limitations are beyond a wall, they are constructed by duty. I enjoy visiting the outside. They are free and happy. And that is the reason why I don't stay. I don't give up and live here forever. I don't belong. Never have, never will.

Going through the doors I enter the labyrinth that is known as the True lab. I walk through the darkness knowing that the lights would be out. And then I descend the stairs.

I have been in many true labs to know what I'm looking for. Notes, notes to something that is very, very important. These notes are the only thing that change in each alternate universe ink creates.

And.
I.
Don't.
Know.
Why.

I reach the office, small and unorganized. Someone of importance must have worked here with all the letters from the King himself. But I have no faces or names to put together.

There are only diagrams of a machine. There are notes scribbled next to it in a font I dot recognize. When I had first saw this, I thought they were just pictures. But no one draws pictures in sequences like this.

I am quick to grab all the notes I can find. I need to leave so I can analyze them in the Anti-void. It is too risky to do it here. Ink may notice that I haven't been destroying alternate universes like I usually do as a past time. Ha, i wish I could do anything else as a past time. Maybe I could try to find a book to read or something...

"Error!" I hear Ink shout.

I freeze trying not to crinkle the papers in my hand. But realize I have been caught. Maybe it's better I have been caught. I could ask him why he changes the papers when he creates a new AU?

"What do you want Ink?" I say void of all energy. He startles me by using blue magic to pick me up to face him. I go from passive, to aggressive real quick. Error marks pop up from the initial panic but my magic is in check to crush him if needed.

"You took something of mine, you malfunction." He almost growled. Taken aback I wince internally. This is a new level for him. Normally it's the whole 'why do you break all my toys?' talk. Not this. But I know if I don't get out soon there will be trouble.

"I don't know what your talking about." I say honestly, struggling in the air from being picked up by the soul. Was he talking about the papers? "The audacity! Of course you do, who else would want to hurt me? Only the person who has since the very beginning." He says with frustration in his voice. There is anger and pain. A hollowness he feels with something missing from his life. Something that I don't have,
But he did.

He uses his brush to slam his power charged paint at me. But confused by his emotions, his aim is off. He doesn't know that he hits the old machine behind me. And we sure doesn't know he's activated it. But we did when the count down started.

A crackling female voice announced our doom in seconds. "Initiation in 3...2...1............."

The blast goes through my whole being. Enough power to end the sun is forced to move through me. I don't feel anything but the pain of being ripped out of my body. I hit the lab floor hard and then I slip into unconsciousness.
