Realms Apart

The New Girl.

"Sooo..." I said. "How long have you been on earth looking for me?"

"About a month I suppose," Sapphire said.

"Really! A month!" I was shocked to hear she had been looking for that long. "Does that mean you've been living here? How do you have money for food or clothes?"

"I have what you might call a master credit card. It has an unlimited amount of money on it and I don't have to pay a dime!" She chuckled. "Do you want to come to my place so that you can get cleaned up?"

I was still shocked by the fact that she had an unlimited amount of money on her. Somehow I managed to say yes and we ended up going to one of the nicer apartment buildings in town. I was surprised to see that it wasn't the best apartment or apartment building, she could have chosen a five star but she chose a two star instead. We went to the 15th floor and went into her apartment. There were two bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen/dining room, and a living room. It wasn't all that big but it was better than what I was used to.

"Hey, if you don't mind me asking since you have all that money why don't you have a penthouse in a five-star hotel or something?" I asked.

"I may have a lot of money but I only get what I need." She told me. "Here, go take a shower and put these on." She threw me a pair of jeans, socks, underwear, and a t-shirt that said "Realms Apart" and had a picture of six anime characters on it. There was something familiar about it. "There's a towel already in there along with everything else you'll need."

"Okay, I'll be out in about ten minutes." I turned around and started heading towards the bathroom as Sapphire said, "That's fine as long as I have time to take a shower afterward."

I got in the bathroom and as I shut the door I notice that there weren't any locks. I guess since she's been living here by herself then she wouldn't need a lock. Wait, she never said she was living here by herself and there are two bedrooms. I quickly popped my head out the door. "Hey, I forgot to ask, why is there a second bedroom? Does anyone else live with you?"

"Well... That's a complicated answer. Let's start with your first question, I got the second bedroom in case I could find you before anyone else does. And as for your other question..." She started to trail off.

"Hey if you don't want to talk about it we don't have to," I said.

"No, no its fine, it's just... Okay so my best friend lives with me, and she can get really hyper, and she's a bit of a perv, and I just don't want you to meet her because you might get the wrong impression!" She was talking so fast that I had to go over and stop her.

"Calm down, you're getting all worked up over nothing," I said trying to get her to settle down.

"It's just, she's a really nice person but sometimes she can just be a little on the odd side." She said as she started to calm down.

"I'm sure she's a wonderful person but if the second room is for me than where will she sleep?" I asked

"Oh she prefers to sleep on the couch anyway, it's no big deal, she's been sleeping on it since we got this place." She said as she finally calmed down.

"Well as long as I'm not intruding. Now then, I should go take my shower." I started back for the bathroom. As I opened the door I looked over my shoulder and asked: "Hey where is your friend anyway?"

"Oh, her names Pearl and I haven't seen her since this morning," Sapphire said.

I open the door to see a short girl with blonde hair standing naked in the bathtub about to turn it on. She looked to be close to 4'11" and had much bigger breasts than Sapphire. She almost looked uneven as if a gust of wind would knock her over. She turned and looked and me with hazel eyes and a smile began to appear on her face. I shut the door at the same speed I opened it at. I turned around and yelled, "I think I found her!"

Sapphire ran to the bathroom and threw the door open. "PEARL, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!" She screamed.

"Well I was trying to take a shower and he seemed like he wanted to join me," Pearl said with an innocent tone.

"NO! DON'T YOU DARE DO ANYTHING TO HIM!" Sapphire yelled.

"Hey would you stop yelling, I didn't do anything. No harm, no foul right?" Pearl said

"Yes foul. You know what I told you this morning and you're trying to step on my toes" Sapphire seemed really pissed.

"What were you two talking about this morning?" I asked intrigued.

Startled Sapphire tried to say it was nothing but Pearl kept trying to say what it was.

"I can't believe you're still standing there while I'm naked. You must really like me huh?!" Pearl teased at me.

"Oh, Shit!" I spun on my heels and ran into the kitchen yelling I'm sorry the entire way there.

"Pearl!" Sapphire yelled. She shut the door and the two of them continued to argue in the bathroom.

I couldn't help but wonder what it was they were talking about from this morning. I wonder if it has anything to do with me? Heh, it would be funny if they were arguing over me but that's unlikely.
