and he chuckled,
wiping at his face,
"i was too absorbed in my own world to realize that you were
crumbling in yours.
i love you.
and i was stupid.
but i'll change, no matter how much you say it's not me... i can't help it, i want to be better for you...
i'll be better for you.
you just have to try for me.
and not in the way that you think."
he hesitantly reached up and touched her lips softly,
"you have to..."
he pushed a cup of cold apple sauce in front of her.
